Many thanks - found it now, and working . Wish it was possible to do with google/yahoo mail as well, but at least outlook gets us going! One other thing I was wondering, although less of an issue, I don't suppose there's a way of signing up for a Hotmail/outlook account without a mobile number? Would like to setup a separate account for our scout group, but not keen on using my mobile number if it can be helped as would like to keep it separate. Thanks, Peter.

Went fairly well in the end - printed off a couple of documents to read beforehand, and spent some time sorting out our storeroom! Managed to avoid using my laptop (or any other computer) for the whole day at work myself!

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows if it's still possible to add a 'from' email address in a yahoo/google/outlook (or other) email account if you don't have a proper account for that email address (e.g. if it's forwarded from a domain that you own). I've done this for my own domain names with yahoo, google, and outlook accounts in the past, but when I went to try doing it today for some new email addresses for our scout groups domain name, all of the options that I can find keep asking me to log into an email account. Does anyone happen to know if this is/isn't possible anymore? If it's not possible, does anyone know of any alternatives methods/services (preferably free) that a scout group could use? We have a digital detox day tomorrow for the students, and staff are ment to be setting a good example by avoiding using computers/technology where possible! We're wondering how best to join in as an IT department - we have a few ideas already such as tidying up the store room, tidying up/re-cabletying cables, cleaning out inside computers. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas, or do any other places do similar 'digital detox' days? Thanks, Hq.

Have just tried to install the app on my android tablet, but it says "Your device isn't compatible with this version" (even though it's only a month old tablet!) ... Just wondering if anyone's heard any further news on a combined map/exhibitor list yet? The online exhibitor list isn't much use if you can't save/download it somehow to print it off or use offline. (The internet isn't always the most reliable at Bett, and I prefer a paper copy as well since it's much easier to read/write on than a small screen - assuming your phone even supports the app/website!) I've seen that for a while, and we normally just hide that update - skype for business seems to show up as an office update though, which is how we missed it. Uninstalling office completely does seem to get rid of it, not very good that you have to do a complete uninstall though. Thanks, Peter.

After reading a bit more about it, apparently you're ment to uninstall by changing the office 2013 install options, and removing/unticking 'lync'. We don't seem to have that option though (perhaps because we never set lync to install in the first place?). Currently trying a complete uninstall of office 2013 to see if that gets rid of it....

We've also just noticed this whilst preparing new images for the summer updates and discovering Skype had somehow appeared on them. Lync is marked as 'not available' and 'hidden' in our custom install of office 2013, however for some reason, updates seem to install/reinstall Lync, and then it gets upgraded to Skype, which is visible to all users, so slightly frustrating that Microsoft seems to be overriding our install options! I'd assumed the best way of uninstalling skype/lync would be to find the relevant updates and uninstall them, however we've just tried that on one affected machine/image by uninstalling the lync updates it had, and skype is still there! Hi, We're having similar problems with an increasingly (so it seems) number of websites coming up as unauthenticated, which means they get blocked as we don't allow unauthenticated websites through. Quite a few of the websites seem to be Microsoft websites, such as office helpfiles, clipart, etc - is there a particular reason why Microsoft sites seem to be more prone to this problem? The most recent website we have had problems with is outlook.com/login.live.com, which seems to have become a problem since the updates that we did to our smoothwall box over halfterm last week (although this could perhaps be a coincidence). Is there a way of setting up NTLM authentication so that it falls back to Kerberos if it can't authenticate, or is there something else that can help prevent this problem? Particulary with things like webbased email on Microsoft websites, we need to be able to have an audit trail, as (for example) we have had cases in the past where a student has used web-based email services to send anonomous emails to staff. Hi, Does anyone know if there's an easy way of resetting the pin code on a Sanyo PLC-XL50 projector at all? Recently had some projectors swapped over, and on a PLC-XL50 that was swapped out, a pesky student seems to have set the pin code and enabled vibration detection, and everytime it's knocked or moved, the alarm goes off! Have tried searching the internet on ways of disabling it, but best I've found so far is how to get into the service menu, which doesn't help much as I'm afraid to change things when I don't know what the values mean! Thanks for the replies - will investigate the cooker power supply, as from memory it has a separate fuse (my board has fuses instead of trip switches as it's old!), or failing that I may be able to borrow a car charger. Was also wondering if something like this would be suitable as well: 4000mA Charger for 12V sealed lead-acid batteries. The batteries were already flat when it was thrown out, as the startup current/surge after draining it during a test kept tripping the server room trip switch! (We believe it may also have had something to do with work done a few weeks prior to this which involved lowering the site voltage to save power.) Thanks, Peter.

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows anything about what sort of cells are used in APC battery cartridge #12 used in the APC Smart-UPS 5000VA? I have a APC Smart-UPS 5000VA, which I managed to get when it was being thrown out, which I've been planning for a while to connect up at home to run my home network/server off. I've not yet managed to connect it up yet however (mainly due to it requiring a 25 amp circuit, which I plan to get sorted when I upgrade my fuseboard). One of my friends mentioned though that it's likely to affect the life of the batteries if not in use for a prolonged period, so as it's already been over a year since it was last in use, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to charge the cells of the battery cartridges separately instead using a separate/standalone charger, rather than the ups itself, to keep their life going. Does anyone have any ideas/advice? Thanks, Peter.
