Midget Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Thank you very much to all people here who've helped me in any way and made me laugh over these last few months, but due to an unaffordable journey (90miles round trip) I am unable to carry on in my post of NM at my school. I'm now moving out of the Public Sector and into the private sector as a Forensics Tech. More work, similar pay, but I can walk to work and I won't have to deal with people who can't turn on printers. Good luck to all of you in your futures and I shall keep an eye on this place from time to time.
plexer Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 All the best mate. It's a shame but that journey would kill anyone especially it bieng a school position. Always been interested in forensic tech would love to get into that field myself. Ben
bossman Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Midget: As ever it is always a pleasure, so sorry that you are leaving you have always kept me sane with your comments and quick wit. P.S may the force be with you my friend................. and good luck with your future commitments.
Jake Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 90 miles is a fair whack of distance to cover on a daily basis, sorry to see you go, but best of luck on the new line of work
mrforgetful Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Tis always sad when prominent posters leave, you will be missed. *snif*
russdev Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Well done and don't worry we don't mind you being here still 90 miles that is one heck of Journey reminds me of a presenter on five mlb programme who would travel from new york to London to do the show and travel back again. Goes and gets a drink while whistling the tune from the great escape Russell
witch Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Miss you already ...and can certainly empathise about the journey - my partner drives 75 miles EACH WAY to work everyday as there is nothing at his level down here and even if we wanted to move (we don't as he has been made redundant 5 times in his life and it would be bound to happen just after we moved) we can't as the children have exams and stuff! Good luck with it all
NetworkGeezer Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Anyone who wants a job is welcome, send your 17yo college drop out son, i don't care as long as they are here by friday. It's a bit short notice. Is there Bosman Rules for ICT Techs
elsiegee40 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 ... and I won't have to deal with idiots who can't turn on printers. Who are you kidding?! They exist in every organisation! Good Luck with the new job anyway!
tom_newton Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Not working in a school is NOT and has never been a good excuse not to post on here. Now go stand outside until the headmaster comes. Or something
MkII Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Won't they let you go if you don't get a replacement!? Sad to see you go mate - you'll have an extra 2 hours a day free time - plenty of time to come and rattle our cages!
Midget Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 I shall have to spend my extra 2 hours trying to h4x0r the site and putting "Midget Rules OK" banners everywhere.
tosca925 Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Good luck m8. Just what line of forensics have you gone to?
zag Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 You get idiots in the private sector who cant turn on printers too
Midget Posted May 10, 2007 Author Posted May 10, 2007 You get idiots in the private sector who cant turn on printers too Yeah but this time I'm hoping I won't have to help them, or at least be able to pass it onto the sys admin
StewartKnight Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 You'll have to keep us informed of your experience doing forensics... it sounds exciting.... as did working in a school! Good Luck!
