mtillbrook Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 One of my customers is a small charity and they have about a dozen computers and a BT business ADSL internet connection. They need some sort of internet filtering but have almost no money to spend on it. Does anyone know if a good free solution? I've used Censornet in the past but its not free any more!! All suggestions welcome please!

Dos_Box Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Windows parental controls will do a good job (better than K9 as well IMHO) if they are running Vista or above and it is highly configuarble as well as providing good logs. Failing that, Dans Guardian if there is someone who knows how to set it up and run it.

steveg Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Have you tried the filtering built into the BT Business Broadband routers? I've found it to be pretty good, you can set a default filtering level for any new pc, and can have 2 groups for different levels of filtering (per pc only, not per user) Steve

OpenDNS is NO LONGER FREE!!! Actually i have finnaly installed Untangled today and it works a treat - really simple, straightforward and effective.
