Luke_T Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Hey ... So not related to IT at all ... but I need to come up with branding for some sports coaching and events (tournament) hosting that I do ... The sport is Ultimate frisbee ... so I guess anything with "ulti" or "Ultimate" in the name will make for a good brand ... I'm not particularly creative so throw anything you got out there ... if I go ahead and use it I'll get you a staff shirt as the "CNO" Chief Naming Officer and a disc :-) Cheers, Luke T
Oaktech Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 i'm not that creative with these things either, but for goodness sake practice answering the phone with whatever you come up with and if you feel like a pratt, don't use it! Case in point... "Good afternoon, schafernaker vision, formerly britax winguard, how may i help you" seriously...

Haptic Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 BeeUltimate UltiFly UltimateDisk FlyFree Ultimate Or just FriFly (pronounced Free Fly) I have to say I like the BeeUltimate as it makes sense to avoid the actual 'Frisbee' in the title. From what I know (which granted, isn't much) Frisbee is an actual trademark anyway and I gather they are moving away from Ulitmate Frisbee to just Ultimate these days because of this. Hope it helps. Chris
rad Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Is this for a team or for a company selling the stuff? Location would be useful.
Arcath Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 be careful using frisbee in the name, i seem to remember that the sport is actually called "ultimate" because they got done for using the trademark "frisbee"
Luke_T Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 wow ... thanks for the response ... lots of possibilities there ... It's for a company that is organising Ultimate Tournaments as well as offering coaching to local university & school teams, based in St Albans, Herts. Possibly selling stuff in the future but not at the moment ... One of our tournament sponsors has offered to make banners, staff shirts, flag, player gifts etc ... but they need to be branded with something to have the desired effect ... Frisbee is a trademark name by Wham-O so I would have to avoid that ... but any shortening is fine ... Keep em coming ... favourites at first glance are: Ultifris ... only cos it's an easy domain and all encompassing, although I cringe a little at the actual name as well :-p BeeUltimate ... I like honey a lot as well ... CatchMyDrift ... very smooth & cool name ... Although I'm also liking things with "fly" in them ...
