installation problem v7

Hi Nick, have followed the updated pdf and when I get to the setup page I get en error. (IIS6, Server 2003) In event view this is what it's saying:

Right down the bottom, try deleting

same error as i had first ?

i reinstalled in the HAP directory

Also gave iis_wpg write permissions on the app_data folder

You shouldn't need to give that permission to that folder, as the system should be running either and network service (IIS6) or as the IIS Application Pool (IIS7). Check that you have editted the apppool and told it to use the application pool identity, not IUSR

When I try and test connection in the Application pool I am getting 'invalid application path'.. must be missing something.. I have the older version still running though.

Im using II6

it says on your install instructions . set the hap folders IIS_wpg to Read and execute

Under this it says

App_data folder : set to read and write .

I assumed this meant set the user iis_wpg under the app_data folder to have write permissions

Sorry same message as all others - I've done a clean install (at least I belive I have ) but get the attached screen shot message every time.

Event viewer (Server 2008 R2/IIS 7)

I could well be wrong in my understanding but in that error message it mentions /v7/api - where v7 is my HAP folder however I dont have a api folder anywhere to be seen (although I think I can see one in your demo setup videos).

Either way v6 is running great and thanks for a wonderful bit of software!

When you use the anouncement . After you save , the anouncement covers the logoff button .

Nothing helpful on first look but something just started a thought process - looked like there was a HTTP binding to the site which was throwing up all the errors.

All working now though.

Redone the install 3 times now and i can get the setup page to appear but when i click on the test button i get a popup saying "System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException"

As jamesfed said above, you need to goto your site bindings (IIS Manager > Sites > "Site Name" > In the actions pane look for "bindings") ensure there is only one binding for http. I also had this problem.

Yep I just had HTTP enabled on the IIS site I had setup for HAP - just click on site (left hand side of the IIS window) then on the right click bindings and remove any mention of HTTP and only leave HTTPS.

I am seeing the same issue I had with 6.5. When uploading with the extended version, I end up getting a corrupt file error when opening the docs. In the basic version, this does not happen. Can anyone offer any help with this please?
