My 2cents..

 

I personally think Independence will be a bad move for Scotland... I think a bit more devolved power at most, a bit less of the ties to the UK, but not full blown Independence as I do not feel we can realistically support ourselves as a nation ( Financially, logistically, Defencively..)

 

I think the SNP may be in for a surprise when the referendum (Which, despite being a Scot, I will not be able to have a say in!) happens..

 

Well, you don't live there, so you shouldn't get a vote... I'm originally from Birmingham but don't get a say in their local elections...

I'm in favour of Scottish independence. I don't think the SNP is. If they were, they wouldn't be trying to sign Scotland up to full membership of the EU. We need only to look at Greece and Ireland to see what 'full membership' means for a small country in the EU.

What? Massive bailout funds, and financial assistance? That's gotta suck... (I'm just being facetious by the way).

I don't care whether Scotland are independent or not. What I DO care about is that England isnt allowed its own parliament - just like Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland - so that English MPs can vote on things that only affect England. I get very annoyed when MPs from other parts of the UK vote on bills, laws etc that will not apply to them, especially given that my English MP cannot go to the Welsh Parliament or whatever and vote on theirs!

Gradual collapse in export industries due to overvaluing of the Euro, permanently high unemployment and low productivity, and permanent subsidy from German taxpayers. Although I suppose that some 'nationalists' in Scotland would prefer cash from German than English taxpayers.

England Scotland NI Wales are stronger together. Get over it scottish/irish it was hundreds of years ago, seriously? Were not living in the dark ages anymore. If they don't like it though give them the country, longer term we will be worse off and it will cost more money.

 

However the whole thing is unfair. Students with free education in scotland? English taxpayers subsidising NI/Scotland and Wales.

 

Were yet to get our own motorway in dorset...No infrastructure here. Bournemouth has some big business - e.g. J.P. Morgan, Nationwide, Siemens, Sunseeker etc. Its all being sent up north.

only reason i go back every year is my refill of methedone, tamazapan, and to get my eyes tested free
