As you know our school had a serious fire at the end of April which has pretty much wrote off the Junior side of the school.

 

The juniors have no IT at all at the moment in the their new temporary home.

 

I'm hoping our local Academy is sorting me some computers so i will hopefully have one per classroom but i havent heard back from the yet.

 

So, i'm basically after anything people have to offer...old projectors would be great we need 12! Or if you know of people i can bug let me know.

 

Anything you guys have to offer and willing to get down to Brum (we can sort something) let me know!

Sorry Little-Miss, I'm not in a school anymore so can't help. It's difficult with old kit, we had a similar problem as Hightower in that the old computers we had were just not worth giving away as they were so slow.

I've got some old towers and CRT monitors.

 

Again they are 6/7 years old Win 2k 32/64MB RAM. They'll need to be re-installed from scratch too. If you want them they are yours (in Moseley), but you'd be better hanging on and seeing if anyone has anything half decent around.

I've got about 15-20 Lenovo R60e Laptops if they are of any use, PM me if you want them.

We have 2 projectors you can borrow for as long as you need them. Neither are too bright but they do work.

They are an Infocus LP240 and an NEC VT440.

 

We also have some old Rock Laptops if you are desperate - they are really slow and most don't hold a charge, charging adaptors come with them

 

This time last year we could probably have kitted you out fully but we had a clear out in the summer.

Thanks guys! Its the wrong time of year to be asking. If people have big projects planned they arent going to starting until the summer.

 

Insurance claims are a long way off at the moment!

Littlemiss I have some printers, a few switches (HP), some old base units (which will need HDDs) and some CRTs, and some laptops which can all be collected. We have no way to get them to you without you guys coming to collect from us I'm afraid. We are based in Dunstable.

I Have an old Cisco 3500 switch which you could have but it needs a new fan and needs collecting as i cant afford the postage for it!!

I've got 10 RM Laptops with XP and Office 2003, Ill ask the SMT if we are able to lone you them for a while.

 

Ive also got a few backup 10/100 switches as well.

I can offer you some Dell GX60 base units with keyboards and mice but no monitors I'm afraid. They're 2.4GHz celerons with 512MB RAM and they'll run XP fine. I also have an old mitsubitshi projector you can have, it's a bit dim but it works and a TP link access point which will give you WIFI access if you need it in an area (it's actually mine not the schools, but is no use to me)

 

I can also make you up as many patch leads as you need in whatever length is needed, got plenty of cable and crimps and I'm happy to drive them all up from Kent at the weekend if you want them, give me an excuse to go see my friends in Nottingham at the same time.

 

Oh almost forgot I've got several HP ink jet printers just sitting around the store room not doing much, although they all need new ink cartridges, but again if you want them let me know.
