Dos_Box Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 that period of time when you run around like a headless chicken and achieve the impossible! Yes, it's called running the conference.
john Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Another year celebrating my birthday at an edugeek conference - what more can I ask for ) I don't ever remember you mentioning this before..... Could be worse though, Dos_Box and ZeroHour felt the need to go to the other side of the world to avoid me on my birthday last year and will be doing the same this year
teejay Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) Yep, got your email Edit: Ignore that, should've been in another thread:doh: Edited February 3, 2011 by teejay
AWicher Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Nice venue! any pre educonf meal this year? I'm game for a BBQ that decking area looks good for one. Idea of Dos_Box putting BBQ together reminded me of: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://sharepointmagazine.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/image36.png&imgrefurl=http://sharepointmagazine.net/articles/a-humble-tribute-to-the-leave-form-part-7&usg=__T-_KM7V34ZuAbnL3Olax5bkF9Uo=&h=299&w=400&sz=277&hl=en&start=0&sig2=ZazmnvdS2RE7GuX8Mpeitw&zoom=1&tbnid=i3yLgJTbWJvNvM:&tbnh=137&tbnw=183&ei=XIRKTenXIYLOhAf_i-2sDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhomer%2Bbbq%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3D1yH%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1152%26bih%3D711%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=283&vpy=79&dur=146&hovh=194&hovw=260&tx=151&ty=101&oei=XIRKTenXIYLOhAf_i-2sDg&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0
EduTech Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I got your email this morning chris. I shall be attending this conference in Lancs - I'll get the time booked off Nice choice on the venue, it looks very nice indeed! James.
carvjo Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Pity - I can't make that - I have a suggestion for a speaker though.. I recently attended an ISC Conference where Ian Yorston spoke.. (He is the Head of Digital Strategy at Radley College) He is an excellent and entertaining speaker who made some very good arguments about why schools should scrap teachers and computer networks - give students iPads and tell them to do find some interesting things to do..
GrumbleDook Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I'd agree about Ian. I would also recommend Kristian Still from Hamble College to talk about Digital Leaders. Not exactly techie ... but well worth it.
AWicher Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Hmmmm, i wonder if Thomas Computer Supplies Ltd have my prize yet for winning there comp last year?

Steve21 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Dont think spaces have been opened up yet. Ah ok, Was just wondering as I'd have to book time off, and hotels etc (If lucky enough) Thanks, Steve
CAM Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Getting a bit close now aren't we? Same hotel as last year btw down the road from (RIP ) Le Frog?
LeeH Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Definitely want to attend, was an excellent day last year. LeFrog is no more, but it has re-opened as something almost as good, and the meals at the Black Bull next door are decent and if you get the right time, two for one as well! I like food.
Dos_Box Posted May 5, 2011 Author Posted May 5, 2011 We should have the registration page up very, very soon. Please bare with us! 1
Gatt Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I'm provisionally coming - depends on how I feel post-op from my hernia repair and transport arrangements...
