We were quite surprised as we keep a close eye on all projectors and their usage and the bulb was only 9 months old and done less than 900 hours. I contacted NEC who said: The warranty for a replacement lamp is 90 days or 500 hours, whichever comes first.

Marc-Engineer Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yes as do Epson worth checking you are getting the Education version when you next buy your projector as often the none EDU versions look exactly the same NEC are problably the same as Epson in that there is also no price differance between the two types. bossman Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 We have started using the casio led's here and the staff are over the moon with the brightness and the versatility of them especially the usb and wireless dongle. All with 5 year EDU warranty with 10,000 hours of life. Our intentions is to replace all our projectors with these wireless casio models and centrally manage them thus making them last longer. Plus they are very ECO friendly using less power than the older bulb type projectors. 1

I've only seen them on the stall at BETT, so I don't know enough to recommend them. However if you need something big and orange there's probably better options (David Dikinson perhaps?).

We have 2 of them at our place and they've been completely flawless since the moment we put them in. I spoke to one of the teachers the other day and she loves her one due to its quick turn on/off and the brightness of the image. I like them due to the lowered maintenance costs.
RTFM Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 We have 15 or so of the new casio's and we havent had a single issue with them, the throw distances can vary quite a lot as the zoom is very good which makes them even better!
