Right, Christmas is next week and I haven't got the missus anything yet. She's been banging on about this Pandora bracelet a girl at work has for a while now: where can I get one in Birmingham/Wolverhampton/Walsall/Merry Hill? As time is of the essence (and eBay is swamped with fakes) I'm hoping to pop out to a shop and get one, anyone got any ideas?

there is a brand new pandora store just opened or due to in the next few days on the high street in birmingham city centre (opposite m&s). i'm fairly sure there is also a store that sells them in the bullring on the bottom floor. Good luck

Hmm might be worth a look, however I know my missus and she's a sucker for a brand name, even if a lesser know make is better quality (unfortunately). Thanks for the heads up though!

I wasn't sold on the idea at first, but then I got to thinking about future birthdays and Christmases and how easy they will be now I can just get her more charms and the debit card was at the ready!

A lot of jewellers do their own brand of them so watch out. I was looking at one for my girlfriend and the bracelet alone was £55 and then the charms varied between £10 and £50 each! Decided on something else in the end but they are really nice and if I had the money I would get one.

Fortunately my girlfriend prefers the leather bracelet to the silver one, so that'll save me £20, still going to push me over my meager budget once I add on a charm or two though! Why won't she just accept that I'm an atheist and don't celebrate christmas eh?

Yes I did mean Merry Hell - my sister lived in Stourbridge for many years and that is what we all called it. As for Pandora - they are pretty but for me they are too 'fashionable'. Yes, you could buy beads for many years to come - until the day when they become yesterday's big thing, and then what do you do?

I never did follow fashion - but then, I'm a female geek and that makes me pretty strange anyway

I think your right witch about them being a fashion trend and they could be gone tomorrow. Although they have stores they are franchises I believe (overhead someone in shop telling a customer that) so it would be quite easy for them to suddenly stop trading.

 

Whoever owns Pandora must be extremely wealthy because I got a silver charm with some kind of stone for my girlfriend yesterday which cost £35 but its the smallest thing ever!

I agree entirely, however the lady wants what the lady wants... it's my own fault, I set myself up for this one last year in Dublin looking for a 'lucky charm' bracelet...

 

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, what a rip off! A leather bracelet with one charm: £60. I could of got identical from the toy shop for under a fiver and carved 'Pandora' in to it myself!
