Why is it that when you know something is bad, poorly made and has been pilloried in reviews and the media, you still want one? So what is the most rubbish thing you have or had desired?

Me, I'll start with the Triumph TR7:

Another big one of mine (and I'm expecting a little backlash for this but hear me out first!) is a good vinyl collection.

I love music, and I love the sound of vinyl, it really can't be beaten... but the technology itself is rubbish... pops, crackles, warped discs, frayed needles... technically, CD should wipe the floor with vinyl, but somehow doesn't...

Very hard to put proper SOUL into a medium that is crystal clear, and perfect! Vinyl remains the best way to listen to music....even if the tech IS rubbish!!!

Back in 1985 when I was young and stupid I wanted one of these, especially as a colleague had one similar to this except it was white and blue with a full body kit and looked amazing:

I went for a 1980 MG Midget instead.

Cost of that car:

£5,060

(approx. €9,374 or $8,330)

All I can say is I now want one, what with it being a time travel device too.

You can pick up a decent late 70s / early 80s MG Midget now for around £3k. I'm tempted...

My point was, when was the last time £5k could be exchanged to 9k euros

This is really silly, but I would like one of those 'nodding ducks' that were around in the 70's

and an R1155.

(if you know what it is then you don't need an explanation. If you don't then theres no point)
