I have just completed my CCNA course and would like to start looking into Microsoft courses.

What would people recommend?

My working environment is server 2003 and XP clients.

Also is it possible to get software to practice on

How much experience do you have? Do you do a lot of server work? You could do the 2003 MCSA but maybe do the Windows 7 for the client exam. If you have minimal server experience then maybe the MCDST or the newer MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Technician 7. A list of the newer ones can be found here: MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) | Training Courses for IT Professionals

A good forum for certification is Certification forums UK computer A+ Network+ MCSE MCSA MCP CCNA discussions exams study guides .

I did the Windows 7 Exam the other week as part of the 2008 Server track and I put some links and advice for studying on my Blog.

Just wondering did you do your CCNA self study or though an educational institution?

I did my CCNA using Cisco Netacad in an educational institution , two year course alot of work have to say. 2 nights a week from 5pm - 10pm and reading almost every night. 4 semesters, each covering different topics and weekly quiz needing 75% over before i could move on to the next section. Don't know how anybody could get all that work done in a week.

You deserve a pat on the back for going through all that for your CCNA. I'm about to start the course, but looks long and scary!

Its a 2 year course now? My CCNA has run out now and i havent done the latest one but the course i was on was something like 8 months and only once a week. Doing the course isnt too bad but there was alot of reading, pretty much spent around 12 hours a week in my free time to cover the books. The exam was interesting too.
