Outputting via Apple TV to Epson Projectors
LOUD replied to SteveLemin's topic in How do you do....it?
There is an aspect button on the remote. We just get staff to press that when switching between laptop and apple tv (mirroring). Works well. -

Leave an old PAYG phone in car and have £20 on sim to keep data topped up. Look for an app that will allow you to share location of Car Phone. As long as phone is in the car and charged then you can locate it.

Why it doesn't suit all schools, we find it works well here. Yes there are a number of things that we would like to do different. However NI schools don't have the money or the staff power to invest fully in an unmanaged system. We have cashless systems in place for our canteen on the C2K System, Biometric registers attached to SIMS and BYOB throughout the school. All these 3rd Party suppliers work on the network. School has it's own app that allow parents to purchase other items online. I'm just happy to use what they have provided as the backbone of the system and branch off from that. Thankfully in a way not have to worry about Ransomeware, Filtering issues or securtiy threats as that is their part of the contract to managed.

Looks like failing hard disk was the issue. One was gone and the other was throwing up errors. Replaced one and then I hope to replace the other shortly.

Having trouble with a new printer HP LaserJet Pro Colour 200 M251n. Have installed the driver from the website and it detects the printer (USB Cable) goes through install fine. However if the printer is turned off and on again it re installs as a USB Mass Storage Device in Device Manager. have to uninstall and then scan for new Hardware changes for it to be recognized as a printer again. Was thinking maybe an issue with Chipset driver so updated the Laptop however issue is still there. Tried another Laptop different model and same thing.

Sanyo PLC-XW57 power on then goes into standby
LOUD replied to LOUD's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I think I will just have to replace the projector. Nobody seems to know where the thermal switch is on this model and I don't want to pay for a service/repair as i can get a new projector for £300 with a 1 yr warranty. Its a shame it looks to be a good projector however I am told that they are not to be installed for educational use. I have another 3 of these and I hope that they last a bit longer. -
I have a Sanyo PLC-XW57 that will power on for 30 sec then go into standby. Fans are on but No image (blue light), warning lights and replace lamp are not lit. I cleaned the filters (they were full) and check the bulb, it looks fine. Turned machine back on and the problem still exists. I found an article in here on a different model that shows you how to reset the thermal switch. Not sure if there is one on this model and if there is where. Any help would be great. This is part of a IWB install, and the teacher is lost with out it. cheers

I have been asked by a member of staff who is in charge of the school PR. Is there any software that we can install on our hosting site that we can use as a photo bank for all the school photos? She currently has them saved into her My Documents and is quickly running out of space. It also has to be secure. So you will need a login to view the pictures. What are other school using for PR??
