Office toaster

Since the canteen stopped opening for breakfast, I can't get anything proper to eat round here. I can't carry on starting my day with a cinnamon whirl or a pack of mini cheddars, so I'm daydreaming about setting up a toaster and a mini-fridge in an unused IT office. Make sure their is no smoke detector in the room first.....

 

I'd go to the Food tech block and see if they have one there, saves pennies and cleaning!!

No toasters allowed in our offices I tend be up early enough to have my weetabix though

we used to have fridge, kettle, microwave, sandwich toaster and coffee maker in our office at my old place. here its nothing, have to go to the staff room

Eat before you leave home, it's the only way to leave enough room for the pub lunch.

Fridge, Coffee Machine, Kettle and Microwave. We do have a toaster too, but it is a Shaun the Sheep toaster that "baaas" when the toast is done and it astonishingly load and annoying. Toast is a last resort in our office!! Edited November 10, 2010 by Tyiell

to be honest i'd rather not use the staff room for 3 reasons

1) it's over the other side of site, inconvenient

2) noone takes responsibility for cleaning anything

3) voluntarily going to the staff room is not a 'break' for any member of IT support staff (surely this is true in any school?)

 

Instead ,come lunch time, it's door locked, blind down, headphones in and microwave on!

All our toasters in school were banned when some muppet burnt theirs and set the fire alarms off...

 

We do have a Tassimo Machine, Kettle and Fridge in the office though

 

Our canteen does open for breakfast though but the ridiculous prices just make it prohibitive so get up 30 mins earlier each morning and make sure I get some grub in me before I set out for work

Have a kettle and mini-fridge here. Don't think I'd be allowed a toaster though, as my room is used by pupils + other staff, health&safety madness and all that
