Just to let you know that this year we will be changing hotels. In previous years we have stayed at the Holiday Inn on Cromwell Road, but over the past few BETTS it has satarted to take longer and longer to get back to the hotel due to lack of taxis etc, and had got so bad that it took over an hour almost every night this year, so this time we are staying at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith if anyone wants to stay in the same hotel as us when visiting BETT. It is only half a mile from Olympia, so we can walk there and back each day. I did want us to stay at the Hilton, but couldn't juistify spending over £5200 for us all for the week. Besides, they do a mean white russian in the Novotel bars :)

1.4 miles too far for you to walk? :D

The Novotel is a better hotel IMHO

After a day at BETT? 1.4 metres is too far to get to the bar.

Novotel is better too, you're right. Should be in there ourselves.

I'm here.

Steamboats rock!

SoCo launched them in a can a while back, not sure if they had it planned or my writing to them every week with the suggestion of putting the cocktail recipe on the back of a beer mat that did it. :drunken_smilie:

The benefit of the Novotel, apart from the late night drunken sing songs by the piano, is that at least if we forget James in the bar, he wont have as far to walk! ;)

They have a piano in that one for us to sing around?! Who out of the Edugeek BETT Team plays piano then? Or is it an Elton John Red Piano that plays itself?

oooh so DB needs to find a pianist then (unless he is one himself?) and it does run in my mind that is Smoothwall's hotel but London does have a great number of Novotels so maybe its a different one?

The same deal applies as previous years. If you want to meet upwith us in the evenign we'll treat you to a nice meal. We will also be putting on pizza at lunchtime for anyone who wants some (always popular given the price of food in Olympia!).

Also we are still sorting out who is going to be on the stand, so please stop bomabrding me with PM's and email :)

It's all rather nice, but I have to ensure that we don't have the situation we had last year where there were more stand staff than cubic meters on the stand itself!!We are in teh process of getting the manning plot sorted out and will notify people or ask for volunteers in due course.

If anyone who was there at the 'end of BETT' meal in January, you will recall we must have had about 20+ people packed in that restruant!!!
