Well, it's taken me 2 days and a trip to the rail museum in York until I could finally get around to saying thank you all. Thanks to all of you who travelled hundreds of miles to be with us, thank you to our speakers for giving their time and experience, thnak you to Prego for putting up with over double the numbers I origionally booked for i.e. when I ask how many people are going to be eating on Tuesday night and I get 9 replies I don't expect to have to frantically book for an extra 13! (just kidding BTW the meals and conversation were fantastic).

Thanks to:

SmoothWall

For helping to support the event. And thanks to Tom from SmoothWall for phoning me just as I'd pulled into the Woodlands Centre car park to explain that he was going to be late becasue he was suffering 'chronic ****hole collegue syndrome' and they had not yet left Leeds. It brightened my day an made me realise that at least I was organised.

Thanks also to our 'helpers'. Simon, James, John and Ric who ensured the day ran smoothly, and many thanks to Shaun for the virtual presence at the end. It was a rather wonderful way to do the Ask The Admins slot. Oh, and thanks to Scott from Ruckus for making the wireless access for work everybody :)

Thank you everyone.

Thanks for organising Chris & the gang.

Aforementioned colleague was suitably contrite when he *finally* turned up at my door - and in fairness to Gav we have been working together 6 years, and in that time he has never once been late :)

Looking forward to the next edugeek do (ISTE Conference 2010) and hopefullhy more after. Chris, maybe we SmoothWall folk could help organise a conf outside chorley (somewhere for the southern devils, perhaps?).

As Beeswax said - even though we were only there for the day - it was a great event and very well organised.. though NetSweeper was a a PITA are times - quite a few sites got blocked for a short time..

Oh and I think someone had better run grammar check the next time they create a banner..

We had a thread on that banner eer about 2 years ago when it launched at the BETT show as its a BETT banner :) It is due to be retired soon anyway as its not the current style we just put it up to look nice and show us through the ages :)

Yup. And EduGeek banner is not an EduGeek banner without some kind of error being present on it. Did anyone spot the upside down union flag on one of our newest banners?

I didn't see the inverted Union flag, I did spy the banner error though (thought it best to keep my trap shut after highlighting a similar error on a rental van I used once and receiving a barbed response!!!)

I thought the conference was superb, I couldn't have felt more welcomed. I look forward to doing it again in future (and yes Mr Wicher I will be honing my pool prowess so be warned!)
