It certainly does seem to be a day for spamtastic posts.

aint that the truth! some days especially sat / sun i can get through with zero, but then again, that could be more a case of less members online keeping us aware, that or these criminals simply don't pay the spammers overtime so they don't bother :D

And so say all of us (mods and admins). I do try to keep up, and Vik does a sterling job in getting there before me (!) but without you lot spotting these things we would have a problem.

:)

It's also shocking how many spammers we catch before they get a chance to as well, I'd estimate we get rid of 30% of spam before it appears by banning suspicious posts from India\Pakistan\Vietnam and the US.

There's a lot of emoticons in that post *hovers over report post button*

I could never do such a thing to such an effective Mod.

I find it slightly amusing that you would get such thing's. Whilst the size and the quality of the membership is a testament to it's success when thinking of area's to SPAM, "That forum where all the IT Geeks who work in schools post" does seem like an odd choice. I didn't realise this place was so popular in vietnam! Add in we are IT professionals we are least likely to fall for anything you'd tink they'd pick on people on the Microsoft Forums :D

and the US

And you've not been sued yet for infringing on their constitutional rights? :p

Yes I echo my fellow co-mods and admins for your support it does make life much easier (so long as your not me and sitting in a meeting with your phone going buzzzz every 5 seconds from new notifications ;) hehe)

Go for a swim to celebrate Vik :)

A swim? in this heat. Do you want me to scald myself..?

..."That forum where all the IT Geeks who work in schools post" ...

is actually one of the most popular IT forums in the UK (top 3938 website in UK overall), with probably the largest spread of vendors and big name companies on board.

People that go to microsoft will be desperate end users, they wont have specifying / buying power like we do. ooh, interesting calculation Dos_Box for marketing material: What is our membership's combined buying power? Thinking in terms of respective schools' IT budgets...?
