I just came back to my desk and had about 8 messages from EduGeek reporting some posts. Obviously these come from you the members.

 

The posts were still coming in, and this particular :spam4:er was hot and live on the system.

So in sweeps I, to kill, delete and ban, and the community is once again safe.

 

The thing is, i would never have gone to those forums / threads and would have been none the wiser without those reported post notifications.

 

So, i just wanted to say "THANKS" to all the membership for helping police the site.

We mods and admins are few, and don't have the time to go through everything, and i'm certain i speak for us all in saying we are grateful.

aint that the truth! some days especially sat / sun i can get through with zero, but then again, that could be more a case of less members online keeping us aware, that or these criminals simply don't pay the spammers overtime so they don't bother

I find it slightly amusing that you would get such thing's. Whilst the size and the quality of the membership is a testament to it's success when thinking of area's to SPAM, "That forum where all the IT Geeks who work in schools post" does seem like an odd choice. I didn't realise this place was so popular in vietnam! Add in we are IT professionals we are least likely to fall for anything you'd tink they'd pick on people on the Microsoft Forums
