I was using Get-MailTrafficTopReport to generate the total number of emails sent per user per day. Now MS have removed the command I need a new way to do it. According to the documantion I found they have replaced the commands with Get-MailDetailATPReport and Get-MailTrafficATPReport. But I can't seem to find a way to generate the same results. (Closest I can get is to use Get-MailDetailATPReport to get a list of all messages sent that I could stuff into Excel and manipulate but that seems more work than before and only goes back in the last 30 days and I need to be able to look at the previous month, and not necessarliy on the first of the following month) Can anyone help with a way to do it? Cheers for that. At least I know now why I've been struggling. Now I need to figure out how to generate the totals of how many outbound emails were sent per day per staff member. Alas I don't have access to powerBI at the moment.

I know what you mean, that fact that I was able to use it (and being a global admin and exchage admin) and nothing has changed on our end makes it's anoying. But I can't see a way to gernerate the infomation I need without that cmdlet plus all the documentaion seems to show it's a valid command and nothing to show it's been removed.

Im trying to generate a report of the emails that have been sent by our users using the powersell command Get-MailTrafficTopReport. Howerver every time I try and use it I get an error that the command is not recognised. The thing is I've used it monthly since the back end of last year perfectly fine. Just this month, I get an error. I'm connecting using 2.0.5 of the Exchange Online Managemnent module. When I check the module that's downloaded after connecting to exhange online with all the cmdlets, it and a couple of other commands are not listed. I can find a reddit thread with a few other poeple complaining of the same problem (but no sulutions) and nothing has changed on my permissions Anybody had the same problem or any idea what's happening?

My Pivot table calculates the following information from the raw data (below, inclucding how the data is being displayed in the pivot table). I want to insert a caclulated value in column F that works out the percentage on enquiries that were turned into sale. But I can't work out how. I can insert calculated fields that work based on the sum of fields, e.g. I can multiply the profit by 10, or the sum of enquiries by 10. But both of which are useless but work. I can't seem to calculate "Enquiries/Sold*100" which is what I need to do.

Hi all, I am attempting to create a loop to perfome the same function to open different spreadsheets. I have 20 to maniuplate so I've declared varaibles and stored the filenames in the code (As the don't change). I'm aslo using the MSG boxes to test and generate the problem/test. When I produce Message Box for SrcWkBk1 it gives me the filename which is fine. However SrcWkBkX returns the the text "SrcWkBk1" and I need it to return the value of that variable, the filename. Any ideas? Just an update: Issue seems to be that the windows database vanished. (???!!!?!?!) Microsoft gave me a ring and went through a few bits, tried re-installing it and generally failed. Recommendation was to use a new server and go from there. Not helpful as I didn't have one to hand. No real explanation as to why this happened. We used Set-MsolDomainAuthentication to change the authentication to Managed and as I'm already using DirSync the passwords seem to be working OK and I can log in. I Need to do some more testing to be sure. One concern is over the fact that now I've used this method to change the domain, do I need to run Convert-MsolFederatedUser against all the users... I've seen one website say yes. But MS said no and I'm not 100% sure either way.

OK - Just looking at fallbacks - I can't use convert-MSOLDomainToStandard in powershell as the server isn't running. Given DirSync is running I can presumably use Set-MsolDomainAuthentication to "get out of jail" as per this. Wait for the next dir sync/force a password re-sync and away I go. If I take this second route what, if any, problems am I likely to encounter? For example having to convert all the users back using the Convert-MsolFederatedUser command to convert all the users?

i've just found the MS support bit and logged a case. Interestingly you can't upload event viewer files, which I would have thought would have been really useful. Found one solution that exactly discusses the issue on technet then says look for this information in the web.config file. However what it says to look for isn't there, so if it's getting the information from that file I've no idea how it is.

Possibly, but I've no idea what that would cost. As we are not fully live it's not 100% the end of the world however we have a few people using it in test and my boss it not happy and wants it sorted.

We had ADSF running yesterday fine. Re-booted the server for testing and it's failed to start ADFS and people can't long in. The AD FS service won't start and generally it's a massive problem. Event log Shows Event ID 7023 - The ADFS Windows Service terminated with the following error: An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request Event ID 684 (source ADFS) the ADFS web agent was unable to update the trust information from the federation service. Federation service secure sockets layer (SSL) server certificate may not be validated. Federation service URL: http://Http://localhost/adfs/fs/FederationServerServices.asmx Now the last one makes sense as the SSL certificate wouldn't mach LocalHost. But I can't find how to stop it looking as local host and get it to look at the servers FQDN! There are also a load of errors in the AD FS Event log help!

Hi there, I am having some problems setting up ADFS and SSO on office 356. so far I've: Installed ADFS on the server and configured it. Installed SSL certificate and other components I can access the ADFS locally on the sever and log in. When I try and configure the powershell commands to connect office 365 to ADFS it goes wrong. Our current setup is that the ADFS server is "LocalADFSServer.InternalDomain" For the internet I have "InternetADFSServerName.ExternalDomain". This is set up in our public DNS and locally. So basically I'm trying to use a different server name for the ADFS configuration than the server is physically called. SSL certificate matches the external domain name. When I follow the instructions https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205461.aspx, when it comes to the command Set-MsolAdfscontext -Computer , it always fails. If I use the external name which is what I expect to use so Office 365 can find the server it connects and I am repeatedly prompted to login to the local server, though nothing works and it eventually fails with invalid credentials. If I use the Local FQDN then it much quickly errors out saying it can't connect to the server. Any help about where I go would be apprciated

For reasons I am not 100% sure of my imaging process seems to have made some changes to the local group policy on my PC and it's causing a conflict with my power management software. Before I actually go ahead and do this is there a good reason why I don't just delete the files from C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\, reboot the machine and voila, job done? Cheers

'S OK I know you didn't. But yes it does raise the question of how "we" as the organization admin can check the system to make sure staff are not using personal ID's (I know they should be told not to and adhere to it but....) The other thing I'm curious about is how it works with trusted authentication (like we have). Teachers are going to love putting DomainName\username into that login box.

@matt40k I'll just say for clarity that I didn't actually use my personal account. 1: I don't want it and 2: It's stupid for many reasons. However the fact that I could authenticate makes me wonder how the organization is protected when badgering the staff fails? Personally i think this won't be looked at until Capita get it sorted and I can use Office 365, AD Sync'd logins.

@Stuclark Cheers for the response. That's helpful, and I understand your earlier comment a bit more now. Surely that would have been the thing to do first? Which school has MS ID's for all their staff so they don't use personal one's that isn't linked through Office365?

Hi, this might (or might or might not) be a bit of thread-jacking but I've fallen at the first hurdle with this because I can't login to get the app! Now I've got office365 login with my work details and I can log into office 365, however when I try and authenticate using my Office 365 login from the SIMS page apparently I don't exist (yet my personal one works fine). Any ideas why? I have it doing a DirSync with passwords into Office 365 but I haven't set up a full ADFS line with SSO. Is that a possible issue?

I am in the process of setting up Exchange/OWA on office 365 and have some questions about a few things. 1: I've set up a shared Mailbox and it's visible for my account in OWA. However despite my account being listed in the "send as" box for the shared mailbox when actually logged in I can't see how to send mail using that address. I've replied to an E-mail in the inbox and the From box still shows my address not the shared one. 2: Shared Calendars - I want to set up a number of shared calendars for people to use for general things (room booking amongst other things). What's the best way to achieve this? I can view the one calendar from a shared mailbox but don't want to have to have a separate account for each calendar if I can avoid it. Cheers

All sorted when deleting and re-creating local profile. Got to be something left a bit broken in there when upgrading to IE11. Can't think what would specifically cause it but at least it's playing ball.

Interesting... Though in theory everything that's needed should be installed JPG viewer, Acrobat Reader and so on. My current guess (and at this moment it is a guess) is perhaps something to do with oddness left in the local profile on the PC, possibly if the profile existed prior to me updating IE. Works fine for some users but not others and my testing just seemed to work rather than be usefull in diagnosing the problem. Need to delete the local profile of an affected user and see if it works fine when their profile is re-created.

We are running Windows 7 and IE11 managed via Group Policy and Policy Preferences. When the users click on a file to download from the internet the prompt appears for the file but only has "Save/Cancel". Run has vanished. When I remove the Policies/Preferences IE plays nicely and displayed all three options. Put it back and I'm back to Save/Cancel only. I am therefore assuming that I have done something but I can't figure out what or how. So any ideas what or how I've done and more importantly how to undo it?
