My first day on the job one of the kids called me Mr New Man lol, shame I work at a secondary school now!

Thats like my nephew. He asked what day he was born, so my brother told him and he ran around saying that it was the same day as his birthday!

He also said to my sister in law "Mummy, you are number 1 on this list of people that I love in my brain"

On one occassion he had us ALL in stitches, I asked him if he has a girlfriend and his reply was "No, I like boys". Couldnt stop laughing for 5 minutes!

The students here have a really good name for me and that is "The fat baldy Ba****d" which make me feels like I am doing a really good job and that they are showing their endearing qualities towards me, this makes me fill up sometimes when I come across a picture which has been done in paint with these special features or Paintshop Pro.

Awesomely cute note! I remember a time that the Year 1 teacher asked two children to go to the office and bring back some paper - they head off and a few minutes later returned walking sideways, as they were carrying a stack of paper in between them, one end each - well, she did tell them both to get it, I suppose!

 

AFAIK, I'm only called Mr %surname, or at least, that's the only thing I hear myself getting called! Unless you count the younger Primary kids who sometimes call me Mrs %surname (presumably struggling because I'm the only person they would address as Mr rather than Mrs). My first name isn't any real secret though, as teachers sometimes slip and use it, plus our name badges on Open Evening have first names on for some reason. Also, kids just seem to find these things out anyway, no idea why they're so obsessed with knowing their teachers' first names!

Well i got "Little-Miss" from the secondary boys' school i worked at because they could never remember my name and i was smaller then them all. Here the teachers call me by first name but the kids either marry me off and call me mrs or call me by my collegues name which is close...bless their little brains.

Working in primary, at one school where I do the year 1 radio show with them, they call me Mr Magic because I magic things better! Trouble is they now ask if they can still keep calling me Mr Magic when they move up year groups. Recently with the Sats writing papaer they were asked to write about an important/special person...one wrote about me! Got to wait to see that one when it returns from marking!

normally in secondry units I get called "geek" or "nerdy man" with "other" words insterted at random the best was one student making comments that I'm no good with "girls" as I work with computers. Made me smile all day (married with 5 kids)!
