SIMS SLG Webparts

Hi,

 

at the moment the kids at our school gets many paper reports each year, the school would like to save them as PDF.

this is fine.

 

but they want the parent to be able to login to the SLG and get their childs report PDf files.

 

is there anyway this can be done using capita webparts? or does anybody have any suggestions on how to go about doing this sort this???

 

any automation at all would be really helpful as i think manual setup would take forever and be a nightmare to maintain.

we dont use SIMS.net Profiles, we just create our own reports and then save them as pdf. will this allow adding of custom pdf files and not just the ones that are created in SIMS.net Profiles?

If you attach these files to the students in sims then there is a potential that this will be possible in the 2010 Autumn release. AFAIK it will be possible to chose which documents held on the document server to release and then it will upload it to SLG.

Autumn release will inc online reporting via Profiles & ind reports from assessment manager....its up to the schools what they publish. Also depending upon what version of office the user is running depends on what format thay get the report on, as far as i know if they are on office 2003 it is word, office 2007 either word or pdf
