Following on from FN_GMs poll about who you will vote for, I was sent this link:

http://www.votematch.org.uk/index.php

Answer a load of questions and set your priorities and it will suggest who your answers match to the party's and how closely you match to them and there views etc.

Be interesting to see what it comes up with and then if it matches who / where you thought.

My results:

UK Independence Party: 69%

British National Party: 67%

Conservative Party: 40%

Liberal Democrats: 36%

Green Party: 22%

Labour Party 10%

I must admit I am concerned by the high status of the BNP in it for me as I really don't support some of the ideas and views of them at all, UKIP is interesting though :)

Mm interesting results there (for my results not yours) - matches exactly where I stand/thought I stood.

John, did you click on all of the parties? I didn't select any of the ones that I'd never dream of voting for.

I did out of interest to see how it scaled the graphs etc, de-selecting the ones I wouldn't ever vote for didn't really make any adjustment to the levels as the % is the agreement with the parties views so the BNP just vanished from my list as I don't believe in them, if they got in I don't fancy the country we would end up with.

Can't remember the %'s but it was UKIP, Conservative then Labour for me. Didn't select BNP, I'd be surprised, and worried, if they came out top for me though!!

That was the deliberate reason I left them in as I wouldn't see myself aligning to there views as they are too extremest for me, I suspect that due to the clear nature of do I like the statement on that website is why I match closely, as it doesn't allow the room for I like it BUT I would want X,Y and Z as terms of it as it were (and if you select indifferent / maybe its too woolly)

Mine was more or less neck-and-neck Lib Dem & Green which was umm.. interesting.

OTOH none of the questions asked about my preferences for using carefully blunted knives to slowly cut bits off people earn^H^H^H^H being paid seriously silly salaries in the public sector.. whether I'm seriously hacked off about the limp gov letting banks go back to what they do worst ..or whether there should be a punitive tax on the use of the words "Cheryl Cole" in the media.

I'm a pragmatist, now thoroughly depressed by 10+ years of expensive dogma , so I'm voting anti-labour.
