CHR1S Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Being a Linux newb (wow cant remember the last time I used that word lol) can someone with a bit more experience simplify the instructions here - UNE Installation - magician so a windows user can understand them? For example can I only do this in a linux enviroment and if so is there a live CD or something that can fulfill the task? Thanks
mwnci Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Justed picked one up this arvo from the o2 shop near me. On the shelf at £100, but they are already reduced to 49.99. A weekend of hacking awaits...
MYK-IT Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 This is getting alot of interest on the HKUD Forums and a new website has been setup by one user a few days ago, here which has already a good following with hacks, hints and tips.
AngryITGuy Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) What would i need O2 wise to use one of these? An O2 SIM (PAYG or Contract) to use the Calender and Messaging functions, think you also have to register online to use the functions. All other features can be used right out of the box, picked mine up yesterday I haven't hacked it yet so it's just running in it's standard configuration. It's a good piece of kit if you can look beyond the poor touchscreen and WiFi (it randomly drops the connection even though other devices have no problems. I'm sure it's full potential will be unlocked once its been hacked! Edited April 4, 2010 by AngryITGuy
AngryITGuy Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 im seriously tempted... I think for £50 it's worth a punt, I wouldn't have considered this at £149.99 The App Store is a nice touch although it does need more support, most of the apps on there are games other than Google Maps, Google Calendar and YouTube.

Have you successfully hacked it then? Edit: just read your post above
