The thing is, our political views may not actually match up with our voting records... When you've got a choice between 2 right wing parties and 1 left wing but (what some say is) hopeless party, you don't really have much choice!

True, but how do we know the left wing party will be hopeless unless we give them a chance? Seriously they can't do much worse than the two right wing parties have done over the last 30 years? Can they? Maybe a hung parlament will give them a chance to shine through. Either that or we're all doomed and I'll finely give up my nieve believe in the political system once and for all.

Probably why the general feeling of this thread seems to be that there's nobody to vote for, given that all three main parties are on the opposite side to everyone that's posted results:eek:

I knew LD's had drifted left of Labour in recent years (traditionally the other way round) but I hadn't realised how far to the right the british political system as a whole is. We're quiet scarely a conservitive country

Ok, some of it makes sense - they think it shouldn't be just based around commerce, but about better co-operation between countries. This I agree with.

 

But they state they don't think the EU should become a super-state. And as I'm weird, I want it to.

As for being a conservative country - well Britain has always been so if compared to the rest of the world. Perhaps more so now than ever before since there are more countries in the world now than there were say in 1972.

Politicians are like diapers, full of 5h1t and require changing frequently for the same reason

 

 

so pointless voting for anyone as they are all wanting votes so lie to get in and then after they have won the election then it all goes down hill.
