HELP ME! I saw an advert last night and I want to know who sings the song that goes with it?

 

This is the information I have about the advert:

 

 

  • I think it was on ITV
  • I think it was an advert highlighting all the good programmes on ITV (but could be wrong)
  • It was a really mellow tune
  • They was two voices - a man and a high pitched lassy

I'm sorry I don't have any more information as I wasn't giving the tele my undivided attention - can anybody name that tune?

Sorry - I'm not sure. To be honest it may not have been last night - it might have been the night before.

 

I know it's a long shot for anyone to get it but thought I would ask in case.

In that case it could be whatever they have tagged onto the new season program trailers.

 

I think most channels are running these at the moment. I will try to remember to pay attention tonight....

 

Edit: I have a TV in the office: I will put it o now and check every now and then to see if I can spot a likely candidate. Starting with ITV as that seems to be the most favoured a according to your first post.

BBC was running a similar one the other day with "Mumford and Sons - The Cave" probably not what you're after though.

 

Any words or fragments of lyrics to help us out.

 

Mumfords are my band of the year - love them!

 

Can't help with lyrics or anything though - sorry. wasn't paying attention when the advert was on.

And that it was an advert of some sort ;) I said it was a long shot. I told myself, if anyone knows it'll be the EduGeek folk.

 

Is it on the ITV website?

It'll probably be on again tonight, might be easier to just record a bit of it?

 

Only thing that keeps popping into my head is Slow Club - thats a guy and a girl, and definately quite mellow

If/when you hear it again, hold your phone next to the tv, dial 2580, let a bit of the song play down the phone and they should text you back with the song title.

Or the shazam app if you have an IPhone

 

I have Android - but was thinking of using that. Thing is there's someone talking over the top of the song all the way through so not sure how successful that would be.

My technician has come up with this as an idea:

 

Little Boots: New In Town.

 

Does not have the male counterpart as far as I can tell but wortth putting out there [apparently it is the tune used to advertise ITV2 programs.]

Some people describe songs that they can't remember the name of better than others. Here is an example of someone who is not giving enough information:
