Rock and Chips

There must be a fair few Only Fools fan's in here

 

So, who saw Rock and Chips and what did you think?

 

I was expecting it to be fairly poor, but found it rather well written and acted and damned funny in places Certainly better than much of the dribble TV provides us these days.

I must admit, im a big Only Fools and Horses fan...and i also was expecting it not to be very good....im of the opinion DONT MESS WITH A CLASSIC!!!

 

But saying that, it was quite good, i wasnt expecting much but did find it quite funny in places, especially with that Cinema Manager! lol

I watched the programme about the Great Rift Valley. It will probably be repeated on BBC4 and is well worth watching.

I thought it was great. I heard John Sullivan doing a radio interview last week. He was saying that it was more a "Drama/Comedy" and a pure Comedy like OF&H. He also said there was a lot more in the pipeline if the Beeb want him to make them. Here's hoping it goes ahead.

I thought it was really disappointing to be honest. I was execting it to be a lot funnier.

I thought it was good. When I sky+ it it asked if I wanted to series link it, so I am hoping for more episodes to come.

Something people have to keep in mind is that it isnt supposed to be like Only Fools and Horses. Its a drama not a comedy. Really they are just using the same characters and pinching abit of storyline to make a new show.

I thought it was pretty good. Lots of lovely little details drawn from Fools & Horses, great soundtrack & interesting characterisations. Even the odd Pinteresque moment in the cafe/Johnny Ray scene!

 

All in all good stuff. Be interesting to see more of it.

Certainly rated it above all the other "comedies" even though it is indeed meant as a drama.

Besides which it makes a change from all the remakes - this didn't try and step on anyone's toes and did rather a good job of filling in a few questions Fools fans have

I enjoyed it, laughed out loud in a few places, thought it was quite well acted. Not perfect but worth 90 minutes of my life

Considering they had problems funding the project it was better than I had expected.

Ohh, theres more planned. Was round Mum and Dad's for dinner and they said it was a one off. Great news.

 

I've seen OF&H in no particualr order so I've bound to of missed a few. Thanks for the update.

Really enjoyed it. Hopefully there'll be some more. Specially liked the Johnnie Ray bit, and the peeling wallpaper...
