LeMarchand Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Amazingly tidy! Loving the notepad but can't work out how you're powering your tech with one of the plugs switched off That's the school that always seems to have teachers and kids about. Rarely get to use the sound unless it's during the holidays . Everything else is on the UPS - which is handy because if I forget to turn the heater off @ lunchtime the combined draw of it + something the kitchen uses causes the switch to trip.
Norphy Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I've got some different images rotating as my wallpaper and these two came up... The eyes... they're looking at me!
exa_AlanODonohoe Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Ok, so maybe this isn't what what was meant when you asked "What does your desktop look like?"
korifugi Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Ok, so maybe this isn't what what was meant when you asked "What does your desktop look like?" [ATTACH=CONFIG]36827[/ATTACH] That's actually rather tidy - mine is sufficiently cluttered that only the evidence of things not being on the floor suggests that there's actually a desk there. 1
X-13 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) Updated the OneDrive with my images : https://1drv.ms/f/s!AgCTxIOhF_Q_gSjdpx4OyI_PqNtA Feel free to steal all/some of them. Wallpapers are wallpapers, "Other Pics" are general images I use in the lockscreen slideshow. Currently using one of the Witcher wallpapers, which I can't post here... The Driad one. NSFW, obviously. I keep forgetting I've set it to that, so my start menu [Win 10 fullscreen version] surprises me every time I open it. Le EDIT: Give me a shout if there are any dupes. Edited November 3, 2016 by X-13 Stupid link was dead... Not anymore! 1

Garacesh Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Shamelessly saved and added to the collection. I also have a 4K version, since its effect is a bit ruined if the 720p section isn't actually 1280 x 720, but I don't often run my monitor in 4k 'cause I can't push 100+ fps THE FRAMERATES HAVE SPOILED ME.
Asgard Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Desktop has family pictures on it but this is my desk

Asgard Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 (edited) Ooo pretty! I'll be joining the triple monitor club at Christmas, boss has promised me a third one if I'm good Tell your boss it's the way forward and rude not to - throw this on your shopping list ; http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/monitors/monitoraccessories/monitormounts/tripplemounts/lcd-036-1.html it makes a world of difference. We made a push at the college to equip every office with dual monitors and it's massively reduced Paper/printing based on historic reporting. Started trialling 3 monitors with some senior staff - It however annoys me when we get a helpdesk job "my outlook monitor isn't working"....... first of all it's not exclusively for outlook but please login first and then it will do [emoji35] Edited November 4, 2016 by Asgard

The plan is to get another monitor and bracket of the same model and add it to the end of one of them. They're ultra wide so only just fit on the bracket. Can't wait!
Asgard Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Lord have mercy there nice. Way better than my 3 24" efforts [emoji106]
Asgard Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 (edited) How are your desks so tidy!!!?? Ha if you look over my monitors I have workbench which gets some stuff piled on it. But I had a load of paperwork on the desk, contracts and such so thought best to move them off the desk before I took the picture, just in case someone on here threw 2p in about Data Protection etc hahaah oh and I logged my phone out too and locked the screens Can't be too careful ;-) But I am a bit of a neat freak anyway Edited November 4, 2016 by Asgard
mikeprice Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I think some sort of penalty should be applied to these people any IT Tech's desk is SUPPOSED to be covered with techy bits and pieces it give the impression that we are doing something REALLY complicated ALL the time oh - plus coffee cups and Hobnobs of course or is that just me????
sparkeh Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 or is that just me???? No you have it spot on! If there is an inch of actual desk top showing then you are wasting valuable resources. 1
jedmondson Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 My desk at the moment. Should of brought a Bluetooth keyboard with me 2
Trapper Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Ugly desk, but the keyboard and mouse are brand new today. I cannot describe the feeling of a brand new, still textured Intellimouse that doesn't have the slickness where a decade of use has rubbed the plastic smooth. The responsiveness of the keys so much travel and bounce. Virgin hardware. I managed to pick up a fair number of the Microsoft Internet Keyboards - two brand new boxed on eBay, two second hand from Amazon - one of which is a Stone Computers custom paint job the other looks brand new, but doesn't feel as nice! I've also got my original MS Internet Keyboard Pro (!) which I cannot find anywhere. Not even from Trumpland on FleaBay. PS/2 and USB connectivity with two USB 1.1 ports on the keyboard and more custom action keys. Sadly the USB ports are crap these days as they can't power a USB stick born after 2006! I almost wrecked it five years ago, beer was spilt (or as my good friend would call it a beer tsunami) and I tried to clean it up and I made a total mess sadly. I've tried to pick up an MS Comfort Keyboard from circa 2004, but they go for a fortune on eBay. I've managed to salvage six of the original MS optical Intellimice, all but one have the extra buttons. That one that doesn't is a real pain to use. Two of the others are slowly dying from overuse. One is my original from back in the late 1990s! Does anyone else have to use weird hardware due to some form of obsessive compulsion or total middle aged old gittiness of not wanting to change?!
