Skibby Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hi guys, Who are your best signings on Football Manager 2010? David Alaba from Bayern Munich seems to be my best young signing at the moment.
stevenwba Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Damn, ive tried to hard to aviod fm this year, im studing for MCSE and MCSA and i know if i touch on FM i will never complete the courses!!! going cold turkey! have played it since 98/99
Divaldo Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 get it get it get it Once you have, buy Silviu Lung Jr! (Romanian Goalkeeper)
stevenwba Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No! when at secondary school i used to play it for about 10 hours a day lol. I really am addicted to the game
Skibby Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 I've got Silviu Lung Jr. Awesome keeper! Only problem is none of my staff can speak Romanian so he's not settling in well.

CHR1S Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 The problem I have is that once you know how to edit the database all the fun is lost
stevenwba Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 The problem I have is that once you know how to edit the database all the fun is lost i remember i think it was 2004/2005 you could give yourself about 2 billion lol, now i think its limited to 200 million! i always used to edit some little club in the conference and give them couple hundred million just to get the ball rolling, then try and get them in the premier league, still retains alittle bit of the fun then!
m25man Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If you choose QPR as your club do you get 15 New Managers in a season automatically? 1
sidewinder Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I havent played it for a few years, it just gets far too addictive. I do like it though. When at college, we used to do big multiplayer games on our days off. Literally used to go for 12-15 hours a time
pscott Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Notts County is the interesting club - no rep, but mega money!
stevenwba Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Notts County is the interesting club - no rep, but mega money! How much do they start with?
pscott Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Think I started with £500,000 budget, asked for more, and got £30,000,000! But best player I could get was Marlon Harewood, on a 1 year contract who refused to renew and left following summer, but did the get Beckham on a free after winning League 2!
TronXP Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i remember i think it was 2004/2005 you could give yourself about 2 billion lol, now i think its limited to 200 million! i always used to edit some little club in the conference and give them couple hundred million just to get the ball rolling, then try and get them in the premier league, still retains alittle bit of the fun then! I Got gateshead from conferance to coca cola championship(no editing), but then the money gap just becomes too big for a small club.
Theblacksheep Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 My best player: 36 year old Darren Barnard for a team I promoted into Blue Square South. Pace: 3
stevenwba Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I Got gateshead from conferance to coca cola championship(no editing), but then the money gap just becomes too big for a small club. That is some going, i remember getting league 1 with telford once, but then started to struggle and go bored I also remember getting west brom into the top 4 and chapions league, by far the greatest achievements are with the clubs you love!
pscott Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 The limit is still £2billion I attempted this with Chester in Blue Square South, as the 30 Point defecit makes it interesting!!!
Theblacksheep Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I love playing in the lower leagues.... seeing the mistakes and terrible plays that happen. My 44 year old goalkeeper let in 3 goals where he dived, the ball it the post and the ball bouced off his head into the goal. Its funny when the defence comes up against a striker with pace in double figures, you end up defending on your own box. The saving grace is that he'll have a finishing ability of 4 and composure of 1.
Divaldo Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I signed a lad called Toni Calvo at Forest. Arsene Wenger seems to be at every match watching him, I don't think he has time to attend any of the Arsenal matches!
DAZZD88 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I just can't seem to get into FM2010. I just don't like the GUI and how they've moved things ever so slightly and I also don't like how the arrow keys don't move you backwards and forwards anymore. I'm going to keep trying to get used to it but I don't understand why SI had to fiddle.
pscott Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I use foward and back buttons on my mouse for that, at least spacebar still continues!
daz191 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 That game's too real, I'm in my first season, bottom of the prem, no money and i'm under a transfer embargo! The joys of being a Pompey fan...
Divaldo Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i've just got Arshavin on load at Forest in my third season, he's ace.
