Guest theeldergeek Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 INTERNATIONAL HIGH IQ SOCIETY | Iq Tests I'm average...
tech_guy Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Me too. I always knew I was. That's why I work in a school...
mb2k01 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 115 come on!!! I think some of those shape things must have been a lucky guess though - don't get on well with those kind of things usually!
featured_spectre Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 according to the basic test my IQ is 147. When the BBC IQ test came on tv, that said it was 165 as I got almost all the questions correct. lol. These images are basic visual acuity and spacial awareness, the rest is logic and maths.
GrumbleDook Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I got *all* the questions right on one of the BBC ones but did not have the highest IQ because their measurement scale also took into account the age. Being honest, most of the IQ tests are just learning how to view the questions and you can raise your IQ by learning a few simple tricks on sequences, visual perceptions and brushing up on mental arithmetic. It is only when you do the higher tier tests with mensa do you really get a measurement of what you truly are.
capncrunch Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 122 But IQ tests even mensa are not accurate measure of intelligence, because how can you measure intelligence? Somebody may have an IQ of 160 but still think using a toaster in the shower is a good way to save time in the morning. Many outstandingly clever people have little to no common sense.
CESIL Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I scored 130 so I think the test must be very accurate...
TechSupp Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Mr Average at 103! Ah well never mind back to the day job...well it would have been if they hadn't shut the school!
CHR1S Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I clicked to see my result and it took me back to the begining.... what does that mean??
LosOjos Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I clicked to see my result and it took me back to the begining.... what does that mean?? Maybe it didn't want to offend you? Only kidding I scored 99, but I don't mind being average, I never got those picture quizzes anyway...
Michael Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I scored 106. Never actually sure how accurate these things are. Still 124 isn't a million miles off
MrLudwig Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 131 for me , although I'm not sure how. However, according to MENSA UK, the actual IQ score is only relevent to the specific type of IQ test being used (there are several). MENSA prefer to go by where your score puts you in relation to the rest of the population. For MENSA membership, your IQ must be within the top 2%.
bossman Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 @all: Mechanical Electrical Numerical Systems Analysis See what else anyone can make of it hehe!!

MENSA prefer to go by where your score puts you in relation to the rest of the population. For MENSA membership, your IQ must be within the top 2%. Indeed. Their tests put me in the 'top 1%' a few years ago, with a score of 139 on whatever their test was. There are a handful of different styles of tests, different scaling methods and the whole issue of cultural and economic bias.
localzuk Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 IQ tests never seem to focus on sounds? Because sound has nothing to do with intelligence? Not sure how it could?
