Gibbo Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 1997 Mazda MX-5 Monza limited edition (only 800 made). Racing green Two former owners 122000 miles Hard top (although that's for sale on Ebay at the moment) Brand new soft top 12 months MOT, 6 months tax Spare key Mazda service manual JVC CD player Very good clean condition, everything works perfectly, and looks, drives and feels like a car half it's age or mileage. A Very reluctant sale, I simply need a larger car with more than two seats. I'll probably go for another Peugeot 306 (my fourth!) May consider a PX for a suitable 5 door diesel hatch from 1999 onwards. http://s192798389.websitehome.co.uk/files/gibbomobile.jpg http://s192798389.websitehome.co.uk/files/gibbomobile2.jpg £1900 ONO (without the hardtop)
Gibbo Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Hard top now sold, I'll post some pics of it in all it's soft-top glory after I've washed it later!
Gibbo Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 Reduced to £1800 as I've seen a car I like.
Gibbo Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Pics as promised: http://www.nwex.co.uk/temp/mx5/p/11.jpg http://www.nwex.co.uk/temp/mx5/p/4.jpg http://www.nwex.co.uk/temp/mx5/p/16.jpg More here.
witch Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 That's lovely...not fair though - I'd really love to buy it and now I feel very sad coz I have no money...
michaelf Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 This is not fair, I'd love one of these! But at 20 the insurance would probably be about the same price as the car!
K.C.Leblanc Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I don't suppose you fancy a straight swap for a Chysler Neon?
Vegas Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I've got a radio controlled Ferrari Enzo that I wouldn't swap with a Chysler Neon 2
mossj Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I've got a radio controlled Ferrari Enzo that I wouldn't swap with a Chysler Neon ROFL +1 ... Lovely mazda though, although there are oil stains on your drive or what look like them (to do with the mazda?)
Jon88 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Have been looking at one of these for a while, and I have to say for the price I am rater tempted although, for some reason, my insurance quote goes up about £250 because it has Monza stickers on it looks very tidy and well kept though..... you have any service history etc? is it a good runner?
Gibbo Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 I'm still waiting for the service history. The previous owner, a lady, has mislaid the book with all the paperwork in. It does run beautifully though. No squeaks or rattles and the hood is watertight. The oil stains came from my previous 306! I don't know the driving history and age of you guys but I'm 36 and only pay £160 a year to insure it! I'm hopefully picking up a diesel 306 this weekend so I've reduced the price to £1750 to get it off my drive and into the hands of a loving new owner.
Gibbo Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Still got this. Now reduced to £1500, as I got my 306 and very happy with it.
Gibbo Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 Reduced to £1300. Grab a bargain before the summer arrives!
LeMarchand Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I don't know the driving history and age of you guys but I'm 36 and only pay £160 a year to insure it! Fully comp? Or is that/month? My insurance on a rusty Mondeo is almost double that - who are you with? Lovely looking car - very tempted, but whatever car I have seems to attract people who drive into it when it's stationary.
K.C.Leblanc Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Reduced to £1300. Grab a bargain before the summer arrives! I was actualy thinking of your car when the Neon went in for it MOT. Sadly the Chrysler failed to achieve the epic fail I was hoping for. Have you tried putting it on Pistonheads? I know it's very high millage for an MX5, but I've seen older ones on there for a lot more.
vikpaw Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Informed by Gibbo that item sold now. Not sure of usual process, but will edit title to reflect.
