mossj Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Spare time? what is this a fair and equal society?
rad Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 You have spare time - so lucky.... Yep its called having no kids, not working in school holidays and doing sonething different at the weekends!
rad Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) Here's my bit of nonsense: Campervan, surf kayak and surfboard. I'm going to build a wind buggy thing for next summer. My friend has a power kite and I can weld... I have a VW Bay camper coming, the one before yours. OH Dad is building it and he also Kite Buggies edit - here is our camper prior to restoration! http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg147/RAD-83/Image007j_edited.jpg Edited November 18, 2009 by rad added more!
Singist Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I sing professionally at the weekends, very different from my 'day job'.
sandeep2504 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 my weekends are very boring at the moment. most saturdays i play football for my local team and last year i was playing rugby. i did take salsa lessons last year on saturday mornings which was pretty cool and i am planning to do that again in January. other than that it's mostly nights in for me; trying to save up money for moving out of my parents home at the moment. i've grown out of the stage of going out to a nightclub, getting drunk etc. i am also looking at volunteering on weekends as well.
Tricky_Dicky Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Having bought a house not to long ago the better half finds many jobs for me to fill up my weekends but when I'm not putting up shelves I do ballroom dancing and have done for about the past 14 years.
TwoZeroAlpha Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Kite board and buggy (even manage to do some at school in the summer) Weather has been totally useless recently but I'm coping with the lack of kite flying by using MW2 as a substitute. Also going to the gym and swimming.
dalsoth Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 My GF sings professionally at weekends so i either go along with her to help out or am cocooned up at the moment studying for more certs. Can't go out and do anything with cash as we are saving up for a house at the moment. 20k deposit so far and still going.
plexer Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) hmmm house, wife and 3 kids, april to september I clay shoot on a wednesday and also do a bit other weekends or floodlit at night. Other than that not a lot of time left. Ben Edited November 18, 2009 by plexer

networkingNut Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 On a saturday I am trying to read up for a certification but something always pops up, which means that annoyingly its not gone to plan. I work sat night in a bar from 21:00-04:30. I tend to sleep most of Sunday.- There are a few exceptions, ie F1 race weekends I am tempted to give the night job up but with it being an extra source of income I keep hanging on, much to the frustration of my mum. I dont really have much social life due to lack of time. If I do eventually leave my night job I want to join my local IAM driving group and train to become an observer. nN
