The range of categories and diversity of finalists demonstrate the increasing number of high quality products and services available to enhance learning and teaching. The awards, as always, highlight the rich opportunities provided by technology when effectively used and point the way to resources judged as an exemplar of learning technology at its best, to guide users and reward and further stimulate providers.” The awards are judged by over 60 educational professionals over two days and each entry goes through a meticulous judging process. Judges review each entry based on a number of criteria such as design, cost-effectiveness, effective learning and teaching styles. For the technical evaluation, the robustness and resilience of each product, and its accessibility for those with specific needs is considered. Winners will be announced at the BETT Awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 13 January 2010 at the Hilton, Park Lane, London, the evening of the first day of BETT, the world’s largest technology in education show. GrumbleDook Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 You need to have *proven* *educational* benefits, not cost savings, not cuddliness ... oh, and a good marketing budget! It is often hard for tech support to show it makes an educational difference.
alan-d Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Sneaked a view of the report; Edugeek - 'Shows potential but must try harder!'
