john Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Woot! I knew it was due Well done guys, I see the Flash and Room stuff is in oooh and my proxys that I discussed with Tom ages ago about different proxies for different sites Thank you guys we love you!!!! 1
tom_newton Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Was due out today, but a few final tests Friday delayed it - you'll be able to download from Tuesday. I'll post on here when it has been uploaded.
tom_newton Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Hey, no worries - I am glad you guys are looking out for what we do. If I'm totally honest, it *was* due monday, and all press releases etc. have gone live as Sue is away, so she just left things to go on a specific day. Also, the pumpkin image gets less relevant by the day Software being software though, FP3 had other ideas - a few issues meant we have had to test for another day just so our development manager (hi Flemming!) who is a stickler for these things can sleep at night
Netwacky87 Posted November 3, 2009 Author Posted November 3, 2009 My smoothies updating with FP3 as we speak!!!
tom_newton Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Seems to have taken a while to get it uploaded to the backend licencing servers today. Keep me updated with any comments you have on the new stuff.

'and Room stuff' can you enable/disable rooms instantly? Will it work with Citrix?
tom_newton Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 'and Room stuff' can you enable/disable rooms instantly? Will it work with Citrix? Yes, and Yes (presuming each citrix client has its own IP, which I believe is normal these days). It will also be acessible via the portal (ie by designated AD usernames/groups).

It will also be acessible via the portal (ie by designated AD usernames/groups). Do you mean the thin client device has it's own IP? Each one of our devices gets an IP from the DHCP server but of course the actual internet traffic is generated from the Citrix server. Thanks.
Simcfc73 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I have got ooodles of updates today... should there just be a feature pack to install or is it loads of little ones?

Give it a go - I am pretty certain we can make it work somehow.

It's lots of little baby updates. FPs really aren't just one big software updates - indeed some folks will have had tiny bits of FP3 for a while it is just a day when we choose to punish ourselves by releasing a lot of updates on the same day
Gatt Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 OOh - will see what my Smoothie box is showing tomorrow
cookie_monster Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Give it a go - I am pretty certain we can make it work somehow. I will and i'll let you know, I'll do the update tonight. Thanks.
Ric_ Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I will and i'll let you know, I'll do the update tonight. I too would try but the lovely people at Smoothwall don't yet deem me important enough to receive the updates
tom_newton Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I too would try but the lovely people at Smoothwall don't yet deem me important enough to receive the updates Call if you havent got it by tomorrow morning.
Ric_ Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Call if you havent got it by tomorrow morning. I think that you are just torturing me... you tell me about all these features months ago and then make me wait longer than everyone else!
john Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I too would try but the lovely people at Smoothwall don't yet deem me important enough to receive the updates You know I have that feeling as well my box says no updates either After we were told we were loved the other day Ric Oh and happy birthday to Tom
Simcfc73 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Went on mine, haven't had a play wiht the new stuff yet as my box pretty much just sits doing its job without me having to do anything. I did get an error when I tried installing all the updates, when I rebooted the update was listed as being installed. I might log a case just in case I am missing something.
