I am still tbh missing the point of wave. I would like a beta key to see but I really see it as bad rather then good right now (but I have only glanced at the videos) for the web as a whole. Edited by ZeroHour

If someone would invite me I would give all but one invite to edugeek users. (My boss is after one)

Thanks

i got my invite a few days ago, its pointless unless you have people to collaborate with.

I wait for the rest of the sharepoint community to join and then i will se a use in it.

In short google wave is a collaborative environment where you can join at anytime and catch up with how the conversation has progressed thanks to replay. Also giving real time viewing of the wave allowing it to be a realtime forum software too. The possabilities really are endless and anyone who uses office communicator / email or anything similar, can see how this could benefit the workplace not to mention the vast use it can bring to the classroom.

Edit: I'm out of Google Wave invites now. They seem to take a while to be sent out so be patient people I've invited/nominated.

(Think of a wiki, email and IM all put in a melting pot together. Wave is what came out.... sort of....)

on the invite wave it says

"Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick. "

Out of mild interest - do you share/collaborate with the whole world or just with selected partners?

from what I can gather there are public waves but these often get ruined by bots and trolls. The best way to collaborate is in private groups but that means we would all have to share our google account with 1 central person.

Yes they say takes about 7 days. Seems a bit longer with mine but anyway sure it will come..
