Windows 7 - HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT

Windows 7 is not a bad operating system, we force teachers to use it at work (they might have the same opinion) but do we care about them.

Overtime things change and people have to learn to live with the change or you might aswell look at being a dustbin man where nothing is going to change (unless the bin's do ofcourse)

Ok maybe some people like the classic look, but it wont be long before you will be able to download a small application that will change it so you can have it like that.

There is only more to come in the future,

James.

You have it deployed already? I envy you :( Hate using XP on the standard PC's now!

I know the feeling lol, 7 RTM installed on my spare PC last night and it flies (Athlon 3500+) but I know what would happen if I dropped XP on all the staff and teaching PCs tomorrow... and it wouldn't be pretty :bowl:

Though saying that we did force staff onto Office 2007 on initial release with no real training (this is before I was NM) and although there was initial outcry after 2-3 weeks they liked it so hope is not lost.

Now has anyone got a few £k spare for some virtualised 2008 boxes :p

Im not so sure in Windows 7. I think i'll stick with though now i have it installed.

Jeeze, Is there anything Microsoft won't get 'insperation' from?

you mean aside from blue screens of death, refreshing printer window list that keeps going back to the start so you cant double check to make sure you have the correct printer installed and on older machines when dragging a window around it repeats the window so all you see is it repeated all over the screen like the window is blurred everywhere etc lol

I think you're getting their "inspiration" and "creation" mixed up.

Point for debate: Destruction is a form of creation, true or false?

Actually... I've just realised, every thread on here to do with Windows 7 I seem to relate to a theme from Donnie Darko in some way. Weird...
