powdarrmonkey Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Blimey. I might not have agreed with everything about him, but there's no denying that he was an amazingly talented musician, performer and writer, and he's the kind of person you never imagine just disappearing...
john Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Blimey. I might not have agreed with everything about him, but there's no denying that he was an amazingly talented musician, performer and writer, and he's the kind of person you never imagine just disappearing... Very much agreed. I found the videos and showmanship to be amazing, such a shame he won't be playing live anymore He in a way did things like Queen did, he pushed the technology for the videos etc All good stuff and a good thing to do
IanT Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Very sad news tonight, watching Sky News atm, mad news this is. Classic during the 80's. R.I.P. Micheal. Ian
Mr.Ben Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 We won't agree on the person, but the Music was great. To anyone born in the 70's and 80's, part of our cultural DNA has gone. 1
Diello Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Sad day for entertainment with MJ and Fawcett. LA Coroner has officially confirmed his death now.
russdev Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The BBC is scraping the barrel by getting Uri Geller to comment on the Michael Jackson heart attack / death / coma / insert illness of your choice. I thought he was supposed to be an international star on the psychic circuit - why didn't he know it was going to happen.....? Pratt. Him and Jackson where very good friends... Hence why he was commenting on it.. Russ
Domino Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I'm getting mixed reports now as to wether he's died or not- although the papers at the station all seemed pretty sure....
Gatt Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Local Radio are saying "Suspected Heart Attack" but confirming that he has died Sad, sad day for music Had only just got in the car and about a mile down the road when the news broke
torledo Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Blimey. I might not have agreed with everything about him, but there's no denying that he was an amazingly talented musician, performer and writer, and he's the kind of person you never imagine just disappearing... i think that's maybe because a lot of people thought of jackson as this peter pan figure - i think he himself believed that......but i've always thought a comparitively early end for someone so troubled was almost inevitable. I think it would have been harder to imagine jackson at 60 or 65, and the state he would have been in by then.
mattx Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Him and Jackson where very good friends... Hence why he was commenting on it.. Russ And there was me thinking he bent spoons for a living...... 3
