Is there anyway of exporting a 2 week timetable from sims and put it into outlook ???? (csv?)

If not you can always create a report in sims that exports out to a file that you can import in to Outlook.

My head asked me about this for his timetable.

I said I’d have to have a look, by the time I had though about it and come up with an idea he had got his PA to type it in for him.

 

Here’s my idea but not tried in anger

 

From SIMS.net report on lessons (a class subreport) to excel

Then in excel a list of dates and associated periods in the timetable cycle and times of lessons etc.

Link the two together (vlookup)

 

You can import a CSV file into outlook

 

Would probably have to do it for each individual timetable so may not be suitable for lots of students/staff etc.

This is all quite interesting, and something I have wanted to do for ages, but have still not worked it out. If anyone has other guidance / ideas. It would make life much simpler, and SLT would have less excuse for "forgetting" they had lessons.

Resurrecting an old topic I know, but I'm looking to get staff to use the Outlook Calendars more, and would love to give them a quick and easy way of importing their timetables...

Can anyone tell me how to create such a report? I've been looking into it and what I've exported so far isn't suitable or easily modifiable for importing into SIMS...
