Currently looking at timetabling two sites at the same time. Does anyone know if you can create a model that corresponding to the same NCY? If so then I could timetable the sites independantly e.g. 7A/ 7B. I could then create 2 seperate tiers in SIMS and assign students to either tier in the pastoral screen and tag them to either base band 7A or base band 7B and tag each block individually below that? See example screen shot below in NovaT: I have been looing into multiple timetables as a solution but I think this just adds problems in other parts of SIMS. Anyone got experience using tiers? Regards

Hi, I have been asked to change a class from TusP2-->Mon P3 in Nova-T6. I have very little knowledge of this (the guy who does the timetable has just gone on long term sick so I have stepped up). How can I do this please. I already know there are no issues with clashes, both the students and teacher are available both Mon P3. Thank you!

When trying to access the Proof Print routine we are getting the following error message: Divide By Zero or Overflow Error This only occurs when trying to Proof Print from the "Timetable > Selection" menu - don't seem to get the error anywhere else where Proof Print is available. Rolling back to previous year's archive repeats the same error - which is new and only started occurring after 29th Feb. Ideas anyone?

Is there anyway of exporting a 2 week timetable from sims and put it into outlook ???? (csv?) thanks SimsStuff

Hi, Is anyone able to help? I am looking for a spreasheet model that will allow me to work out GCSE / A-Level options columns based on pupils decisions from a questionnaire... i.e. the best fit possible. I have seen somewhere before a model like a matrix that will try and work this out. I know that the Options package is available in sims.net but I don't want to use that. Also does anyone have a spreasheet that plans out the Curriculum in terms of staffing etc. Thanks in advance.

When attempting to export next academic year's timetable into SIMS from Nova-T, the submission fails. "One ore more critical errors has been detected. The submission cannot continue". The specific error is "Unknown NCYear in supplied curriculum 07" (and 08 and 09). Under NC Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 appear, but no Key Stage 3. It seems that as far as Nova-T is concerned, Key Stage 3 doesn't exist in this version of the timetable. Is anyone able to advise on how to resolve this please?

In the school I work at multiple teachers can teach a single class. To display this information I know i can use Nova & do this report: Reports > Curriculum Analysis > List of Classes for a Year(s) Is there anyway I can display this information just using the SIMS reporting engine? Thanks, Liam

Any advice / documentation on creating tiers in SIMS. SIMS documentation is vague with regarding to creating and administering tiers. I am looking at timetabling across two sites in September. Tiers looks like it could be useful in order to filter pupils on different sites e.g. 7A / 7B could be created that refer to NCY 7. Site A pupils to be part of 7A and site B pupils to be part of 7B. Tiers will also allow staff to be filtered in cover as well. My worry is going from our current structure to this one would cause problems. Has anyone done this before? If so how do you then tag pupils in under Academic Management? I have also been thinking about the timetable in NovaT across two sites. I had a demo of the multiple Timetables upgrade but not sure if this would cause more problems. Does anyone know if you are able to create 2 models in NovaT that refer to the same NCY. See screen shot below: If so then I could keep site A and B seperate, send the timetable over and then tag pupils into Site A or B as base bands (I think they will appear as totally seperate bad in Academic Management) and then tag each block individual below each of the base bands? Any ideas / suggestions? Thanks
