Hi, I am new to timetabling and need some advice. We use Timetabler (first time using it too). I need to create the batches for Y8. Maths, English, Science etc which is fine but... I need a block where these 5 classes can slide; Geography (5 classes, 4 lessons), History (5 classes, 4 lessons), It (5 classes, 2 lessons), PE (5 classes, 4 lessons) and Art (5 classes, 2 lessons). I also need another with Spanish (5 classes, 4 lessons), Drama (6 classes, 4 lessons) and Tech (6 classes, 3 lessons). First question to you all is, would you say I have grouped those subjects correctly given the class numbers and teaching hours? I can work it however as long as Drama and Tech +1 other subject (or 2) are blocked. By this I mean that I need students to be able to move from set A to B in geog, hist and have the option of moving from 1 to 3 in drama, spanish and tech. Likewise, those in CDE can move freely between each other and 4, 5 and 6 in drama, spanish and tech. Secondly, is how I have set this up in timetabler correct or is there a better way? Hi all, I am new at timetabling (first year doing it!) and have been asked to look at the possibility of keeping our 2 week timetable but organising it in such a way as to allow teaching staff to have all of their PPA's on a single day - an admin day. I know that this will be difficult and probably require a few extra members of staff in some faculties but I have no idea where to start quantifying the needs for this. Any help, tips, advice or ideas welcome please! Thank you!

Hi, I have to arrange three alternative curriculum groups. They are for a small number of students (3 max), on at different times but on occasions, all three are on at the same time. When this happens we need them in the same room because we cant spare any others. Alternative curriculum on NT6 does not allow alt curriculum room clashes. Anyone know of a possible work around? That's great, thank you. I will look up those groups. I did in the end manage it but there will be other issues that will no doubt crop up. Thank again!

Hi, I have been asked to change a class from TusP2-->Mon P3 in Nova-T6. I have very little knowledge of this (the guy who does the timetable has just gone on long term sick so I have stepped up). How can I do this please. I already know there are no issues with clashes, both the students and teacher are available both Mon P3. Thank you!
