What job sites do you visit when searching for a job? Are there certain ones you visit daily? Perhaps we could get a good list of decent job sites for all to use to post/view!

My main ones are Jobserve, the local newspaper's website and occasionally CWJobs as well. I totally agree about agencies being a nightmare - I very rarely hear back from them when I send my CV off and a lot of them don't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to technology. When I was applying for my current job, virtually all the interviews I got were from direct applications too...

Job Centre - In the past I have found this to be for non specific general jobs, however given the current climate most people out of work with high spec IT experience are looking here!

Possibly consider porting this thread onto the wiki allowing for ease of reading rather than this turning into pages and pages.

In my opinion Linked in is fast becoming an alternative to job boards, not sure how much schools have embraced it as a recruitment tool as yet but as a recruiter its often becoming my first port of call if I want to research companies, connect with otherwise unreachable or "dormant" candidates and have just put my first paid advert out

any experiences, apparently its now got well over 50% of "professional" workers in the UK signed up

of course my profile can be found on the ESP website ;-)
