I totally agree about agencies being a nightmare - I very rarely hear back from them when I send my CV off and a lot of them don't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to technology. When I was applying for my current job, virtually all the interviews I got were from direct applications too... 1

Will_Townsend Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 In my opinion Linked in is fast becoming an alternative to job boards, not sure how much schools have embraced it as a recruitment tool as yet but as a recruiter its often becoming my first port of call if I want to research companies, connect with otherwise unreachable or "dormant" candidates and have just put my first paid advert out any experiences, apparently its now got well over 50% of "professional" workers in the UK signed up of course my profile can be found on the ESP website ;-)
