I've had lanview3 on my network for a while. It now won't run on the pc I had it on so I think it needs a reinstall. Sadly I deleted the original download. I would be really greatful if some one knows how to get hold of it.

@lbradley I don't suppose you've got the passmanager files have you, i've been after them for a while now and have had no luck in finding them. Also, if you have a list of the console commands i'd love to get a copy from you if possible.

I realise that this software is unsupported now but ... is there any documentation for it? Though it seems quite intuitive a User manual or anything would be useful, thanks.

I have been trying to figure out how to use LanView as well. I have the server version 3.2.1 installed and the client versions 3.62.

I seem to be able to do everything except monitor remotely. I can't open the view mode. It always says I cannot connect, yet I can connect remotely to the computers in the lab and send messages as well.

Also, how do I turn off the station ban? All of the stations are banned right now and I don't know how that happened or how to turn it off.

Some sort of documentation/manual would be EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks.

You will need to have a VNC application installed as well to view the clients. The one supplied with Lanview was TightVNC. It needs to be allocated to every client. The MST website used to host the MSI file for this, but obviously that isn't available anymore.

Perhaps if anyone still has this then they could make it available. I have a copy but I'm not at work for a couple of weeks.

Thanks. I'm going to try it out. Any particular installation directions, or just install on all client computers? Does it need to be installed on the computer with Lanview server as well?

The way that VNC usually works is that you have a receiver on the server end and a client on the er client end. Sorry I'm being a bit vague it's a while since I installed VNC. Will need to look it up.

I ran across this forum and it seems great. Is there anyplace I can get a copy of lanview3 or lanview4? I know the company that has developed it has gone out of business, but it seems that several members here have and are using lanview with great success. I would like to give it a try. Does anyone know where I can download a copy? Thanks in advance.
