My Mum is welsh, and my dads parents live in wales. I also did my degree in Aber-wrist-watch. Does this qualify me for membership of the "Welsh club"?

Can I ask? -----

How old were you all before you realised you could take off your anoraks?

:getmecoat:

Yawn - heard Rhod Gilbert say that joke the other day. It's old.

Was about to say same welsh on my mums side of family. Which reminds me must get a decent recipie for welsh cakes.

Russ

My family are all Welsh - here's my Gran's recipe (in imperial measurements)

Gran James’ Welsh Cakes

8oz self raising flour

4oz butter

1 large egg

half cup of currants (I prefer raisins)

3oz caster sugar

or

12oz self raising flour

6oz butter

2 small eggs

1 cup currants

5oz caster sugar

Rub together the fat and flour. Mix in the sugar and fruit. Mix in the eggs and knead lightly til its a nice dough.

Roll out to about quarter inch thick and cut out into circles 2 or 3 inches across.

Cook on bakestone until done (you can use a heavy frying pan with just wipe of the butter paper - must be HOT - just check the underside until its brown and then turn and cook the other side)

Dredge with sugar and eat while still warm (if possible as they're never so nice cold)
