So calling her Shilpa Poppadom on BB [ I did not actually see it ] is not racist in your book ?

Maybe it may come across like that on the page, but i have watched it and they were just having an argument - about nothing - they were both being rude to each other - that 'comment' has been TOTALLY blown out of proportion!

OK, how about:

Goody told fellow contestants Lloyd and Jo O'Meara that "fake" Shetty needed "a day in the slums". She added: "Go in your community and go to all those people who look up to you and be real."

Is that what you call being blown out of proportion too ?

That hole your digging yourself in is getting bigger.

It's a terrible awful thing to suffer from terminal cervical cancer and the raised awareness and the need for regular testing can only be a positive thing.

What is so obscene is how this is being played out in the public spotlight for cold hard cash. There is no dignity or humanity here.

I feel so sorry for her two young sons. I'm afraid they may never see any of the money their mother is trying to ensure will be there for their 'future' - that hideous, nefarious leech Clifford and her insidious money-grabbing new husband may see to that?

Wow, you can use Google.

It may not sound racist, but certainly has racist intent in my booky wook.

Are you serious? In what way is that derogatory? Sounds quite cute if you ask me.

Real racism is a nasty hateful thing, a hatred based purely on the colour of your skin, what you are talking about is the political correct bullshiat racism made up by idiot politicians. Personally I find it more disturbing for people to be nasty about someone just based on what they see plastered over a biased and corrupt media who don't once stop and think that perhaps what is shown is not by any stretch of the imagination the truth.

What exactly has that got to do with anything? - Nothing racist there!

She is merely stating that SS doesn't know what it's like to come from a poor/under privileged back ground and seeing as alot of her fan base are poor/under privileged, she should see what it's like - a reality check maybe.... appreciate what she has and not to take it for granted!?

Any way i don't see what any of this has to do with this thread??

If SS can forgive and forget what Jade said, then i don't understand why it is upsetting you so much??

Never said it was upsetting me. Do you work for the tabloids by any chance ? To put it bluntly, I don't give a rat's ar5e about her.

In fact, you can add to that list - All of the Royal Family - specaially DianaRexic & Thatcher.

Absum!

I am surprised this thread isnt locked.

My 2 pennies worth now.

Jade is in a bad situation, that is a fact. Is it brave that she got ill? no, its horrible misfortune that I do not wish on anybody. So why the people are saying she is brave is beyond me. Whilst I will not miss her when she is gone, I will feel sorry for her children not having a mother around, or having the benefits of growing up properly as they will be in the spotlight for some years to come. Jade also made a cash camel out of the situation which is why people are angry at her.

Yes get money for your children, yes highlight the dangers of not being tested sooner, but no do not turn it into a situation where you can belittle the cancer to make money. I know of plent of women who have had cervical cancer and died, and the only newspaper articles they got were in the obituaries, and these were YOUNG people who campaigned alot to get the tests done for younger women.

One thing I do applaud though is that she is actively encouraging people to get tested younger, but it has only come to light to the government and the NHS etc that it should be done younger because someone in the public eye says it should. Had it have been my friend who died last year who bought it to there attention, it would not have gotten the same response. On another note, my sister in law has had a scare and she got the smear test done shortly after her 25th birthday, she is soon to be 27 and she is still not fully in the clear.

Whilst Jade is not very intelligent, she is trying to make the lives of millions of younger women safer, which is a good thing.
