Ask your buddies the site agents to throw a spanner in the boilers and voila!

I doubt i will be so lucky to have my school closed but i am praying hard to everything that's evil.

If it snows here and settles I am so gonna sulk as I sold my Suzuki jeep before xmas :(

On the brighter side the BMW is rear wheel drive so might be worth a play.

Failing that I wil go and play in the surf with me Waveski.

Either way some fun will be had if snow does keep falling and settles :D

OK school here is closed and I made it in without a problem [a little slower than normal on the way in, just had to use a little more care]

Looks like I will have to go home again now though as my son's school is closed and my wife works in a bank [other rules apply for businesses I guess ]

I was already on the unreasonably icy roads after confirming we were still open when our NM called me to tell me that the Deputy Head had decided to close after all (we normally have a 7am cutoff at which point if we haven't heard, we're open).

I checked the school site, it says closed. I rang in at 6:10am though on the sicky line saying I can't get anywhere though. The roads are too dangerous and my car is not moving anywhere due to being buried.

A days lost pay is cheaper then a car accident.

Yup, we're snowed in too here in East London. My schools been closed. I wouldn't have been able to get in anyway. I just stepped outside and my feet completely disappeared in the blanket. My daughter is loving it!

Got to the train station at my local town, got a call saying workplace was closed. No further motivation to go home required than that :D

And this is West Yorkshire, so London must be bad!

Congratulations to BBC Breakfast for dedicating most of their programme this morning to the 'atrocious' conditions. The snow was believed to have been as deep as TWO INCHES in some parts of the country, bringing the entire nation to a standstill.

Anyone remember 20 or 30 years ago when this meagre amount of snow never even got a mention?

Up here in the harder North we're just getting on with it, everyone's gone to work, the schools are open.

Tell me about it. Its quite pathetic - this country has all types of weathers but for some reason it can't cope. Just goes to show how backwards this country is & why we are the laughing stock of Europe.
