It leaks memory amoung other things, especially if it is monitoring users with there home directories hosted on the d drive, as opposed to the h.

Deary me, this sounds too comical

Anyone got a firm date yet for SR1?

When I was on the RM training, last count it was going to be June. Will wait and see.

We had CC4 installed last July as a clean install. Like many others we suffered months and months of all the usual problems, software roll outs, machines not building, users losing work and home areas etc etc etc. Finally now though I would say on balance it is running better seems more stable and finally we can get on with other jobs instead of firefighting. Oh aye and the management consul is still a lying g1t at times too. Time will tell but it is looking much better. Still wouldn't like to go through the whole process again though in a hurry. The only plus we got a whole load of new machines by way of compensation!!!!!

My understanding of it is....

SR1 was originally supposed to be a large single update but there were lots of issues with different parts of it. So, now its smaller updates released when they are relativley bug free with a somewhat smaller SR1 "soon".

We have had several bits out of SR1 already, but these may be just unique to us.

Small bits of SR1? SR1 is a roll out of all most of the currently released CC4 software and driver updates but also includes newer versions of componets not released as individually, as well as a number of policy changes etc which is what the majority of people are waiting for. Unless you a field trial site you should not have access to SR1, support may give people access to indivual updates included in SR1 to solve emitidate problems if appropriate but the timetable is:

- Early May onwards

- New CC4 installations carried out by RM will install CC4 SR1

- CC3 to CC4 installations carried out by RM will install CC4 SR1

- 18 May onwards

- CC4 SR1 will be available to Approved Support Partners to install CC4 SR1 for both new and CC3 to CC4 upgrades

- End of May

- SR1 sent to early adopter group of existing CC4 customers

- June onwards

- Controlled release to remaining existing CC4 customers
