Went to New Years party with friends, let off fireworks and got rather wasted. The usual New years festivities :D

Of course... Happy New Year to you... Hope the hangover doesn't kick in too quickly ;)

@John :( to parents!

Our sons are out with us tonight mainly because it's at our local where their cricket club congregate, but the choice is theirs if they get a better offer they'll be off:)

Be a sulky, miserable, monosymbolic 'teenager' tonight to make sure you don't get asked to stay next new year.

Thanks, I've passed the age of being allowed to be a teenager though by a few years as well :( I should just have said something myself, im old enough to do what I want to do and make my own mistakes and stuff up, but don't really want to have arguements with my parents.

Anyway, we have a change of plan, unfortunatly my gran has passed away this afternoon after a period of illness so as a result we won't be celebrating that much so I think its a night at home instead now, my sister thinks she will go to work to not let them down as they are major short staffed being NYE and all but no celebrations here now.

Aw John - sorry to hear that mate. Never a good time for these things but somehow it always seems worse around significant times of year.

Hope you and yours are coping.

Thanks all for your kind words it is appreciated :) We, as a family, went out to the local to celebrate the New Year (and my mums birthday as shes a 1st Jan baby) as well as celebrate my Gran's life as my dad said she wouldn't have wanted us to stay at home being miserable about her passing and he said he felt it would be better to do that as we all agree that it is for the best her passing as she was not very well and she passed on in her sleep so it was a peaceful passing for her.

I was one of those mad fools that decides to decend on London for the event. We only decided to go at 4:30 that afternoon while in the car on our way home from somewhere. 2 Hours later, myself and 2 friends were in the car on the way to london, managed to park on the outskirts and caught the tube in and boy was it packed!

Got back home about 4:30am.

Was worth it thou :D

Mike.
