Unusual Christmas day plans?

Well at the moment my plans for Christmas day are as follows.

 

Morning - Unwrapping presents after being woken at some silly hour by our son (10 years old so still excited about Christmas).

 

Early to Mid morning - My side of the family arrive, unwrap presents etc.

 

Midday - My partner and son go to her side of the family for lunch and I will be going out to play on my Waveski for the afternoon (will keep fingers crossed for some surf).

 

Evening - Chill after a good day out on the surf content at avoiding the mother in law

 

So is it just me who does daft things on Christmas day or are there others equally oddball.

We've got Christmas to ourselves this year for the first time in ages. The kids have finally got to an age where getting up on Christmas morning will be at a respectable time.

 

We'll have brunch after unwrapping the presents and then go out for a walk/bike ride before Christmas mid-afternoon lunch.

 

In-laws boxing day. Own Mum coming for New Year. Visit to aged Aunt & Uncle Jan 2nd.

I could well be rolling out a new server at one our clients on Christmas Day.

I'll be spending a fair amount of the day on the M62 and M6

We don't really celebrate Christmas (long story - it goes back about 3000 years).

 

We're having an anti-xmas day in January though. We call it our Stuff Christmas Day. We usually have it in December but some family members can't make it until then.

My Mrs won't have to work this Xmas which is a change for us. I guess we will be going to my folks let them do all the cooking and hospitality (moi a freeloader?).

I have the joys of going to the Monster In Laws in Grimsby for Xmas, for once I will be wanting to be called in to work!!!

 

The wife will be waking the kids up to open the presents at stupid o'clock lol

 

Then its eat as much choclate before breakfast competition. Then im sure the sprouts will be put on to boil for few hours!

 

After we have munched through the turkey farm for lunch, ill be forced to watch the queens speach.

 

Of cousre i have got boxing day to look forward with the father in law whihch will involve being dragged to his local and off to watch the mariners at home.

 

Is there a James Bond on this year?

ha! and no James Bond on xmas day as of yet, I have the Radio times (free type one that came with 'the sun' about 3 weeks ago) and most of the programmes are "To be announced", but all the movies were announced and I didn't notice it

Wake up nice and early to get the present unwrapping out the way and visit the family. Then as soon as 11 o'clock comes I'm off down the pub with the boys. Home for dinner at 2 and back out afterwards

Just me and gf, Bucks Fizz and presents then off to the pub for a leisurely Xmas dinner. Perfect.

Wake up stupidly early, get a drink of tea and skip breakfast. Drive out the city into the countryside to my horses without seeing another car on the road. Enjoy the peace, the world is so different, it’s almost like humans have vanished, not a sound. Treat the horses to something and if it’s snowing take them for a walk down the road to see all the children open presents. Get home at mid day and get shouted at for taking so long as everyone had to wait before opening any presents.

Never actually watched all of the 'Great escape' need to sit down and watch it all, it will come back to me then

 

Plan on getting up and opening pressies with my 3 little ones, then dssappearing to the Pub.. no I will maybe have a few drinkys in house and then all the visits!! Not sure if they are a pain or not!

I'll be snowboarding in the swiss alps christmas day! which will be fun! then back down to the apartment on the edge of lake geneva for festive tipples with the family!
