No not a 360 but a bog standard XBOX off eBay with 50 games for £100.

I only really play FPS and couldn't get used to the joypad so I invested in a keyboard / mouse adapter and also a VGA adapter so I can use my computer monitor and its absolutley brilliant. Halo 2 is superb, I haven't even started on Far Cry instincts yet as I am on Halo all the time. Only thing I do is change back to the joypad when I am driving stuff.

Only reason I bought it was that I've done all the FPS on the PC and really wanted to play Halo 2.

Think I'll look out for Ghost Recon advance warrior.

Unlike on the 360, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the original xbox has not got good reviews - Ghost Recon 2 however is a superb game - especially online.

Also check out BLACK as it is easily the most satisfying shooter on the xbox.

Enjoy the gaming. I am mainly a PC gamer but I do have a soft spot for my xbox.

Yeah they are all originals. About 30 I wouldn't play and I'll flog them at a car boot sale if I can. Theres quite a few fighting games and sonic crap but around 20 are worth playing. Even got the a few new ones.

nice one.

I got my xbox second hand - the guy had it three months brand new then needed the cash. Got it for £60 at the time with 3 [i think] games, controller, dvd remote, and in mint condition.

I only really got it for halo / halo 2 as well lol - good fun but it dont beat halo 1 tho methinks, tho some of the newer features in halo 2 are good.

I managed to finish Halo 2 really quickly which was crap. Not sure if my XGA box to link it to my monitor is worth it, the colours aren't as nice as on the tv.

I've got FarCry instincts and James Bond: Rogue Agent now to play.

Never owned and Xbox :)

Halo/Halo2 only really comes into it's own on the multiplayer IMO. But then again I have only once played a 16 player deathmatch as I have never bothered taking my xbox online.

I prefer the PC version of Halo

The graphics are higher resolution, and playing online is free, plus it was originally designed for the PC, but Micro$haft decided to have it for the X-Box only to start selling their console.

It's obvious the game was made for mouse and keyboard!

My brother found an xbox in a skip!

Tested it and it worked fine.

After buying a 360 he sold the old xbox on a car boot for 20 quid!

Long time ago I had a PlayStation (original) and fell in love with Wipeout 2097 and 3. Then I grew out of it and gave it all away. Big mistake. A couple of years ago I happened to hear Firestarter on the radio and it all came flooding back. I rushed to eBay and bought a PSone for about £15 and picked up 2097, 3 special edition. I'm still addicted today.

I've spent the last few months picking up any half-decent game for my Xbox from places such as Woolworths - who were selling brand new games such as Fable and Half-Life 2 for 2 or 3 quid ! Have cleared-out all our local stores... Far Cry Intincts is excellent, by the way.

I've actually got two Xboxes now. My original one's DVD drive failed, so I brought it into work and stripped it down (under the guise of showing a couple of 6th formers how to fix a PC). Cleaned the lens and mirror with some fluid and it's fine now and lives at school.

Might buy a 360 in time, but have a new little daughter so cuddly toys and nappies come first...

I have just ordered halo 3 on xbox 360 looks wicked

Yeah, it looks OK... but I watched a preview of it on TV the other day and wasn't as bowled-over as I thought I'd be.
