Adding Staff to Bromcom

We have Bromcom MIS, but as our HR team don't add Staff onto Bromcom anymore, due to us having another HR system, when it comes to Salamander, we aren't able to use it to it's full potential.

 

It has been suggested to me, that my team add Staff onto Bromcom rather than HR doing this. Just wondered whether there are other teams out there that are doing this, rather than HR?

Simply put .... NO

 

IT aren't in charge of hiring and firing people. HR are supposedly doing their job here?

 

That's their job, not yours.

100% agree. I can kinda see why they don't want to do it, but whole point of having a MIS system is to use it.

Er yeah this is a HR thing.

 

I have had access in both SIMS/Bromcom to add staff, but I ovibiously don't know all the required details do I don't do this.

Office / admin staff add and remove staff. IT only manages accounts and access.

Whose responsible for the school workforce census, and is the data for that being taken from Bromcom?

If you have a dedicated HR team this should be done by them, if not a member of the admin team should be doing it.  I only add staff members on if the designated staff member is off work for any reason and it can't wait until they return which rarely happens.

Id say HR, The need to enter salary details, contracts and other things that should remain private.

It's even more HR's job to remove staff from Bromcom, don't forget.
