SIMS7 updates. How to find out they're available?

Hi folks,

Since moving away from our county support we weren't being notified that updates were available. ESS support said to subscribe to a kb article to get warned of updates, but since the switch to the parent pay portal there doesn't seem to be a way to subscribe to the equivalent kb article.

Is there an official (or unofficial) way to get advised of updates, short of checking the SOLUS console?

Thanks

I've not found a way to be anymore. I go roughly by when they have been released previously.

The fact that you can no longer receive KB article updates means that we miss so much regarding updates and has increased the amount of legwork required to find anything out.

Heh.

I'm hopeful that there's an RSS feed. There's mention of RSS in the kb, but I think it's their own version of it rather than an actual RSS feed. And as feedly.com is down, at least on the school VMB connection, I can't check at the moment.

We add SMTP details to Solus and then it emails when a new update is added

Not great info apart from “so and so download added” but at least gives a hint

Hi @Gongalong

Please keep an eye on the following article for updates about releases https://help.parentpaygroup.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0013036

Updates will also be displayed via the SIMS Notification panel on the Homepage.

I hope this information helps.

Best wishes,

Sally

Thanks Sally. As feedback for product management, it would be super helpful if us admins could be proactively advised of updates e.g. an RSS feed, subscription email etc.
