[22h2] Machines stuck at Applying Printer Policy during logon

I've a number of accounts that are stuck on applying printer policy during logon - sometimes sitting there for 20 minutes or more.

 

These are newly created exam accounts, and there is nothign I can see in event logs

 

Has anyone any suggestions?

I have had a similar issue before when a group policy was attempting to map a printer which was offline.

 

Are you mapping any printers at all? Are they reachable

I have heard of some issues if you are replacing networked printers rather than jus applying them through GPP

 

The way I did this at previous place was to use GPP with loopback processing so PCs in certain areas got specific printers no matter who logged on/

Using GPP, if I have a printer assigned to a room and the printer is offline (or crashed, thank you HP P2055DN!) logon takes 20 minutes plus. Seriously irritating, especially when the teacher turned it off to save power! Not sure how I can fix that from a GPP perspective - scripting could probably have a timeout.
